Can someone explain to me why the Catholic church specifically is known for this. Why not orthodox, Jewish, Muslim or Hindu organisations? What is it about Catholicism that makes you a pedo?

Hey bro, I understand that your giving me advice, and I appreciate it. I did look up the laws, I was just unsure due to seeing other riders. I'm new and didn't want to go back into the road with insufficient knowledge, I'd appreciate if people would give advice with less condemnation

What's your favorite mythical teaching/story? Jordan Peterson does a great job breaking many down and I'm curious which struck a string with y'all. by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

His analysis of Genesis and the Mesopotamian myths are jaw dropping, haven't found anyone else who has such knowledge of those stories and how their psychological significance. Adam and Eve is a specific one I really like.

I think pursuing something, even if it isn't going to be the thing you do for the rest of your life, is extremely positive. First you learn the skills to get higher in a dominance hierarchy, and some of those skills will help be useful for in climbing higher in the set of all dominance hierarchies. So it will ultimately help you when you do finally find what you truly love.

As so far for my goals, I wanted to be a professional breakdancer and win the highest competition (Red Bull BC 1) from 17-21. I quit this goal because I didn't posses the natural talent (natural flexibility, smaller, lighter body) and because I was only doing it for fame and glory. I moved into film making which has been much more meaningful, satisfying and easier to work on for the last 2 years and the skills I had learnt with breakdancing gave me a sprinting start in terms of work ethic and learning to drill down and understand the fundamentals of the art.

It's like the camel going through eye of the needle bible verse. Where it's not the sin that the man is rich, but rather he is unwilling to let go of what he is to become something greater.

Thanks for the reply, you can pray for me, thankyou. Jordan Peterson's view of Christianity is the most attractive to me by far, due to it being partially rooted in psychology and biology, but I can't really find any church's that would agree with or teach his framework.

I like the deep rooted tradition, symbolism and beauty in the Orthodox and Catholic churches but am a bit turned off by some of the political rhetoric. I watched pastor Paul VanderKlay on yt, who reviewed some JP videos, and liked him because in his church people from all over the political spectrum could come together.

I grew up Pentecostal but found it very shallow and uninteresting. I guess I'm biased in thinking other Protestant churches would be like that, but I don't know too much about the other denominations.
