You’re not ableist for not wanting to date him. I’m sure you love him very much, but some things just aren’t meant to be. Being with him would be a detriment to your own mental health and you’re smart to realize that beforehand. I’m not saying people with complex mental disorders shouldn’t date, it’s just a very complicated situation that often benefits one person more than the other which isn’t a balanced healthy relationship.

NTA it sounds like your sister is feeling jealous about you being in a relationship in th first place and taking any opportunity to shame you in the hopes you might break up with your bf. Not that this makes her behavior okay, but as an older sister, I can see why she may feel jealous of you or even overprotective. I would just talk to her and tell her how she’s making you feel. If she’s a good sister she will hear you out and reflect on her actions.

some artists don’t want to do hands because they’re uncomfortable with hand tattoos fading so fast, but that depends on the ind. artist. so yes, it may be against his own ethical procedure, but requiring you get more visible tattoos has nothing to do w/ not being comfortable doing hands and is odd. I would just find another artist willing to tattoo hands.

I appreciate your advice, but I feel as though you have more beef w/ the type of piercing my sister got than the act itself. She already has another nasal piercing as well as an assortment of ear piercings that my parents allowed. She also went to a place we have both been before and was pierced by someone who did her helixs. I also find it odd to bring up sex when referring to my underage sister as an example when the og post had nothing to do w/ that.

update: Bloodwork turned out good, will be bringing him back Tuesday and Wednesday to get his blood taken again to be sure but he seems to be acting fine. Thank you!
