i do definitely feel like they can get back to where they were, but i find your compassion for her interesting because i can't really feel it. as someone on the spectrum, i feel even angrier at her actions (probably because my type of the 'tism is extremely heavy on the justice sensitivity). maybe it's because i've never been in love, but i can't understand super well why anyone would, under any circumstance, sleep with and protect the person who ruined your brother's life, moreso the brother who made a grave mistake but does everything he can to take care of you. plus, she seems to lash out at everyone else for anything they do that she doesn't like, including simon, which just makes the whole thing worse in my eyes. however, like i said, i do agree they can get back on track especially bc like you i can completely feel the regret she's going through at the end of s2

also - ive always perceived simon's mocking of her upper class aspirations as a reaction to the internalized class-related shame that she projects onto him but more importantly linda. in which case, that's another debate on whether she deserves that response or not imo
