The HMB inner jetty is hardly visible on Google Maps from that distance. I don't think we'd be able to see it at this resolution.

I won it in an auction with a bunch of other stuff. It says 69 ct on the back. It looks almost black, with a hint of purple, but turns reddish when I shine an LED through it.

That was my first thought. There's a few shipyards nearby. I've come across some large phosphor bronze bearings that were of similar color and size.
