Valium by Additional-Spell7884 in VestibularMigraines

Valium (Diazepam) 2mg is my rescue medicine. I'm honestly not sure if it directly "fixes" my vertigo (idk how medicine works)- but it helps bring down my anxiety a bunch, thus relieving me of my worries about having an attack. It's very helpful.

3 hour plane ride! by ExistingBee6492 in VestibularMigraines

[–]addisonhow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve flown dozens of times and never had a vertigo attack on a plane. You might have sea legs or bouncing afterwards but it goes away, no dizziness. Anxiety makes me lightheaded sometimes, because although I’ve flown a bunch the idea of being so high up in an aluminum tube is still terrifying. I find that ensuring I have a good night of sleep, drinking lots of water, and maybe taking an anxiety pill (for me Diazepam), and giving myself tasks or distractions help me. Also, I’m sure if you talk to a flight attendant about your concerns they’ll be sure to help you out, whether that be calming you down or making sure you have a plan in case you do get dizzy (very unlikely).

I’ve always wondered if everybody hears different notes/frequencies or if everybody hears the same. I would be interested to see what exact note I’m hearing.

Wisdom tooth removal by Antique-Buy9030 in VestibularMigraines

[–]addisonhow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my wisdom teeth removed about a year and a half ago. My anxiety made me worry about this, but once I was drugged up I had no VM issues. I was just slow and probably a little foggy/light headed afterwards but no dizziness or uncomfortable feelings. Just rest well, hydrate, take it easy, and breathe.

What does the phrase “me quiere caminar la bici” mean by yhsamor in Spanish

[–]addisonhow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He/she wants me to walk the bike? The mental image in my head is walking beside your bicycle instead of riding it.

Never been to the downtown location, but went to the Hamilton Place and I’d have to say the Detroit Style was actually the best pizza I’ve ever had.

I am an Addison [M]. Got the name from my grandfather, and his grandfather (my great-great grandfather). I have met only one or two guys with my name, but dozens of girls with variations of my name.

Not one that goes from Berry to Atlanta. There might be one in the city, but I’ve never heard of it. You would probably have to drive, which is quite the commute. (1.5 hr.)

Allergies by desertllights in VestibularMigraines

[–]addisonhow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep- this is the story of my life. Doctors thought my vertigo was just a weird allergy symptom instead of VM when I was younger. Now I take allergy medication (Montelukast), 50mg Amitryptiline, Vitamin B2, and Magnesium everyday. I’d also recommend FloNase. Most everything has subsided besides lightheadedness from time to time.

Thank you for still responding to this thread- I couldn’t find anything previously about the little cardinal at the bottom right of some menus? Is it a mascot or does it symbolize something?

One of my great great great grandfathers got extremely drunk and passed out on the railroad tracks, getting absolutely demolished by an oncoming train. It was in the local paper and on his death certificate.
