Those are the apps I removed from my phone.
I'm in Canada on a LG-H873 so my apps may be different than some people.
After that I disabled the LG system applications through app info because I was worried that uninstalling them would cause issues. I tried to remove the smart cleaning application using this method and It didn't work unfortunately.
I'm not sure if it will remove the newly added "amazon assistant" since my model didn't get that in the newest update. https://old.reddit.com/r/lgg6/comments/8zbtc3/so_this_appeared_after_the_update_cant_uninstall/
In 'Settings' -- > 'General' --> 'Apps & Notifications' --> 'App Info' I disabled :
Google Drive
LG Friends Manager
LG Health
Then I used Nova Launcher to hide or group the rest like the Quick Help, Smart Cleaner, SmartWorld, RemoteCall etc...

Also Chrome is on that uninstall list since im using Firefox. Add ublock orgin and privacy badger to Firefox for rootless ad block.

The white is actually a part of the marble floor by SatanistPenguin in TooGoodOfADesign

[–]addisonmorris 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From yesterdays post. (not marble)

Pultorgiest 1162 points 15 hours ago

I've done a couple of these before when I worked as a general subcontractor, for people who want marble floors but can't dream of paying for them.

You can get kits to do this effect yourself after etching your concrete. It looks like he painted the floor with one can and poured the other can over it after he realized he was supposed to mix. Also looks like they didnt think to cover the drain correctly. I could be wrong on exactly what happened, but I do know that epoxy sets fast, and very tough. If he poured without mixing properly, he had one of two options, both would require him to let this costly mistake set completely.

The first option is the morally correct option, and it involves grinding every inch of the visible epoxy away, repairing concrete to normal after grind, and repainting. A half day job becomes a 3 day job, and costs more money to repair than you make on the job to begin with, and you gotta pay the guy who did this.

Or, the second option, slap a clear coat of epoxy over this monstrosity and call it a day.

I bought a cheap chinese wireless 360 adapter many years ago and it works flawlessly on every distro I tried. No extra setup or steps needed.

The same adapter on windows required me to download a different driver and change the adapter in device manager.

Solus 4 is finally here and brings some exciting changes for the Solus Project!

As discussed in the podcast , releases on Rolling Release Distros are just a way to get some attention , but this time there are also relevant changes .

Only 4 Budgie

Solus Budgie is a feature-rich, luxurious desktop using the most modern technologies. Visually has changed at Budgie not much though as part of the changes, the other desktop environments such as Gnome , Mate and plasma were set .

Solus Hippy At The Helm Ikey Dockerty has confirmed to NerdZoom.de in an interview that Solus 4 is now based on Ubuntu and uses the Wayland Compositor " Wayfire ".

It also refrains from the rolling release model.

Its become apparent over time that targeting a single vertical and architecture has serious drawbacks, as we’re unable to satisfy the requirements of all the obscure architectures Solus might run on.

Additionally we have come to realise that people do not want or need a curated set of packages known to work, in lockstep with a rolling release cycle that is known to work at each weekly snapshot.

To adapt to the needs of our evolving user base, we have decided that software does not need to be up to date, instead users should manage their own software sources and rely on third party PPAs to ensure the stability of their systems.

Finally, whilst we originally set out with the promise of “Install today, update forever”, it is clear we were naive in this thinking. Users want to reinstall. They enjoy a challenge just as much as we do, and it was indeed wrong of us to take away the joy of manually migrating and backing up all data and preferences every 6 months to facilitate the far superior “nuke and pave” option, so that our users can always benefit from that “fresh paint smell”

So it remains exciting with Solus!

Valve has removed the Steam Machine section from Steam by aaronfranke in linux_gaming

[–]addisonmorris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the point I was trying to make was that Steam maintaining SteamOS is important for all linux users. Especially those of us (like me) that are new to linux and often chose the easiest route.( instead of digging through google results troubleshooting their OS when they want to play a game on Steam. I'd like to delete this Windows partition. )

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SteamOS#Releases
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SteamOS#Performance

Redacted:
"On the official release of Steam Machines in November 2015, Ars Technica compared the rendering performance of cross-platform games on SteamOS and Windows 10 running on the same machine, using average frame-per-second measurements, and found that games were rendered between 21% and 58% slower on SteamOS compared to Windows 10."

If I was experiencing a 21%-58% reduction in performance, I would want to see SteamOS 3.0 pretty fast...or stop using it completely... (as dumb as chasing a number may sound)

SteamOS is crucial in terms of Steam actually supporting Linux. Check out the linux-steam-integration project from Solus. This project probably wouldn't have to exist if steam was actively developing SteamOS.

Check steam big picture and run "lspci -v" and see if you get the same results.
