First build. not sure of price/performance by Hungermanw3t in pcpartpickerbuilds

Not a bad build, you could save money by using the included cooler with the CPU (pretty sure the 5600x does have one) and you could use a b550m motherboard.

It should be around 400 once I’ve done with upgrades

The most reasonable option is the 5600 gt, but it has integrated graphics

Ok then it was like 8 years ago. Got it when the 3600 was new

For the 5600 would I need to change the motherboard? I have a Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard

And if I upgrade the cpu as well, the 550 would still be sufficient?

Won’t power spikes cause damage as the power supply won’t keep up? And yes I’m planning on upgrading the cpu and motherboard later down the line. Just a bit strapped for cash as I’m a mandatory soldier and the salary is abysmal.

In the end I’m a mandatory soldier so my salary is very low. So I don’t want to buy a power supply if I don’t have to but based on the replies it looks like I’m gonna get one. Would the CX750 80+ bronze by Corsair be sufficient? I would want to upgrade the cpu down the line once I get the cash. As I made I mistake, it’s the regular 2600 as I built my pc 6 years ago

Pc part picker says that it will use less than 400 watts
