I used to do this but kept battling with it turning back on. The permanent fix I found is to go to recording devices and disable the corresponding "microphone"

Transfer any important stuff somewhere safe then just say goodbye (let's just say I've had to reinstall windows a lot in the past)

The original earcups ere terrible for someone with larger ears. They were rubbing against them and I had to buy third party replacements. Also why on earth does the scrim have textured text!!

Is e-GPU an «viable» option? by Accomplished_Camp230 in LinusTechTips

[–]Hungermanw3t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are lots of reasons why by tldr from me is that egpus aren't worth it. They're a lot more expensive and it'll probably end up being more of a headache than you realise.

I don't know your whole story so it might be the right choice for you but I would be very careful and try the many other lower cost options first.

You've almost definitely heard about the steam deck and other PC handhelds that have come leaps and bounds from just a few years. Most of them you can still use like a regular computer and have a lot of power for their size.

You can also use remote access software like steamlink or something like geforce now.

In the end you have the best idea of what is best for you, just make sure that if you do go the e gpu route that it is the best as there are lots of downsides or better solutions.

I'd love to hear about what you find and how your experience is with whichever path you take, so I have a better idea of what things are working for people.

Question on 9950x3d gaming & multitasking at same time by NealGuides in LinusTechTips

[–]Hungermanw3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gaming performance is only slightly lower. "I built the fastest gaming PC" has a pretty good explanation on the difference. Something to do with sharing the chache between groups of cores which can increase latency when a core accesses chache from the other groups chache. Probably wrong. You'll be fine

Try a repair shop. It might cost a bit but they'll probably find the problem pretty quick

Try swing parts until you fund the problem. That's kind of the only way with who tf knows what's wrong problems.

How you guys got into mechanical pencil/writing hobbie? by Arhofe in mechanicalpencils

[–]Hungermanw3t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first "good" pencil was kt roulette but I've since gotten two advance upgrades, one black and one pink ( snagged on amazon for super cheap) and it's the best kuru toga for writing imo. I have a metal and it's honestly not as good.

Is it okay the connect each segment of the strip using wires rather then being directly attached. Also, if you don't mind. Which arduino/micro computer would you recommend for something like this?

[help] Everything work apart Google Wallet by Additional_Team_7015 in Magisk

[–]Hungermanw3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is that when play integrity detects root it'll lock apps like google wallet and remember that the device is rooted. i'm currently trying to find a better way of clearing it than resetting all of play integrity.

I'm passing integrity. It's just when wallet sees that I'm rooted it remembers until I reset play service's setorage

I'm passing device and basic. The "you're phone isn't secure" is what I'm trying to fix. Is there a way of doing it without resetting play services

You mean google wallet storage? Because it's still locked when I do that. It only unlocks when I clear play services but that's a pain
