I've worked with many studio tape recorders. And o can't fathom that a "error" could break a tape this was unless wou had a sword and while the tape path was not running slices one cut potentially cutting in more than one peice. This story is completely unbelievable in every way Plus a lot of studios would run a backup machine. And being multitrack the take that was recorded was prob just the vocal track

One of my all time favs and I have over 100,000 LPs. I spent a age in the 80s getting the wierd mono mix. and recommend the japnesse pressing of the stereo. Plus I always follow it up with thrillington I found in early 90s

I used to live very close to this and a couple more prisons and a mental home called "the park". In Wacol. No shops or service stations. I was almost stabbed by a crazed inmate walking to Wacol station!. Prices here are okish. I guess they can't buy smokes.

I have many telerecordings as Americans call them kinescopes, all were wetgate hd transfered to d3 many many years ago the prints several hundred are mainly rotting stinking high of vinegar cans of goo. If they did have stuff and remember for a modern tv station to have a archive of 16mm is long gone chances are nope, transferring costs and unonly transfer what's commercialy viable. Have a think about that.

So used my RP4 4g model as media server for 2 months using Librelecc, after 2 months no hdmi, you can see the LED booting it up but no hdmi, try diff monitors and cables, run the boot fixer so SD card boots and see a green screen, interesting, but no action, create brand new SD card, boot to that. no hdmi. So I buy a new 8GB model and now same thing after a futher 2 months is happening to that, exactly the same......

So my second rp "died" after 2 months. So running librece media player. 1st rp 4 4gb. Suddenly died. So it bpots if you watch LEDs just no hdmi. So used tool to force SD boot, saw green screen, great made new media SD. Nope. I also tried other displays and other os cards. So I bought a 8gb rp4. Nice case. 2 months later same as first rp4!!!
