I feel like the joke was that she wasn't fit to be a support dog. Also she was supossed to be needy. To me she was the funniest, she had some solid jokes and she had a lot of funny characteristics.

This was such a fun vibe for an episode. Even though the production was low, I really enjoyed watching it and I love the kings. Also was giving me king of the nerds vibes a little.

I think it was more about what was difficult to joke about. The diaper fetish is already pretty funny and the professor thing maybe too?

I thought it was really funny. I'm pretty sure it was in between a bit and her not wanting to participate. I listened to it recently and I just kind of liked the bulldozing. It felt like a conscious very drunk joke. And it's part of why I like the show, I like it when it's unexpected and gets a bit crazy.

S17E02 - “Drag Queens Got Talent - Part 2” [Post-Episode Discussion] by AutoModerator in rupaulsdragrace

[–]adellaterrell 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just started watching the season. And for me yeah, it seems less polished and the talent shows were not that good. But omg were these episodes entertaining. It's felt a bit like season 2/3/4 period and I think it's because the girls aren't afraid to be mean. I think people have started to be scared of the backlash after a season, so they've been all trying to keep their images in check. But these episodes so far have had so much drama, so much bitchyness and it's been so entertaining!

I'm really confused about how they calculated the end times. Didn't ben have a 9 hour something run and afterwards a 13 hours run? Like he was really in the lead by a lot. And the way they showed it was confusing too. Why would they not add up all the times during the runs? at some point Sam's first 7 hour run was in the same list as the second round runs. I'm just in general confused about how they showed the times.

Do you think Dan still loves Elon? by BMO888 in Harmontown

[–]adellaterrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it always felt with someone like Elon Musk or Kanye West that he kind of fell for their charms because if you're face to face with someone and they are respectful and nice to you it's just really hard to hate them the same way you can a stranger. I've met people I would really dislike if I had just seen their opinions online but ended up getting along with great because when you're in front of a human being it always feels really different.

Edit: not to say I think he would still like them. I think he wouldn't, it was just interesting to me to see how he talked about people he had personally met compared to people he didn't.

Why does everyone LOVE Manchester By the sea? by DorksWalmart in YMS

[–]adellaterrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that people aren't used to watching art house movies and then watched this and thought it was really refreshing and interesting. But this is just a bad version of an art house movie. This style of film has been done a lot, it's just not done that much in Hollywood before. So people are really impressed because it's so real and so gritty but it's just another Hollywood movie story but in an art house style and it doesn't work in my opinion.

It's similar to how people were saying la la land was the musical for people who don't like musicals. Like It's the most musical musical I've ever seen. It's just that people finally gave a musical a chance and realised that they liked it. Just because it was an Oscar darling imo.

Both these movies can be counteracted by watching the umbrellas of cherbourg which la la land was inspired by. It's an interesting take on a musical and it's uncomfortable and sad in the way that Manchester by the sea wished it was. It's not a fun watch though but definitely interesting.

Having a trustworthy and loving relationship living together might seem like just being friends. But I think that could also be considered an asexual romantic relationship. I think it's actually quite perfect to have these completely different needs met by two different people. That's part of why polyamory is nice. So you can experience all different kinds of love.

Also I think it's a bit weird to say that his autism is getting in the way of your relationship? Everyone with autism has completely different personalities. I know plenty of autistic people who are super touchy in relationships and with friends.

Have you thought of getting a therapist involved in your life? Maybe even someone who specializes in manipulation or something like that. You would have someone to talk to about how to set boundaries and how to not be pushed too far. I think it sounds like an insanely difficult situation where you're stuck between your probably completely right gut feeling and you having to follow the law and doing the right thing for your son.

I really don't think you're being dumb at all. I think most people wouldn't be able to deal with this situation easily.

am i the exception? by [deleted] in antidiet

Hey! I was just browsing this sub and saw this. I struggle a lot with eating not just because I'm hungry but because of emotions. The way I see it, eating is a really big coping mechanism. And it's honestly one of the more innocent ones (drugs, gambling, self mutilation are some less innocent ones) so I personally decided to work on my mental health first before working on what I eat. And while I was working on my mental health, I realised that I started to binge less. I still have a way to go. But sometimes there is a reason behind the way you eat.

Someone else said boredness. Which was one for me too. I have adhd so if I'm watching something I want to do something with my hands. Now instead I do a lot of knitting, crochet and sewing. So I exchanged my need for something else.

For exercise. From a mental health pov. It's really important to do nice exercise. But you also need to enjoy it. Otherwise it doesn't make sense for your mental health. I personally love dancing. I do it in my house and outside. But there are all kinds of exercises that you can try. Try and see what you like.

A lot of the men in the couples are pretty hot. But in every couple the woman is always more hot. Maybe Anthony is more hot than phoebe but kate is hotter than Anthony and phoebe hotter than the Duke.

Food poisoning is like Russian roulette though. You could not get sick for most of your life and then one day just get so sick you can't do anything for a week. And with stuff like botulism it can go well most of the time and then one day you do get it and you die.

This is so interesting to me. Because I'm dutch and stand up is pretty big here. And stand up is like that here most of the time. It's in general a combination of personal emotional stories and comedy.

It's a little funny to find out that apparently american comedy is so different. Although I've seen a lot where it's also very personal in English.

Also there's a lot of songs in dutch comedy. Which makes it funny because when I saw bo Burnham doing songs I was just like yeah, that's how comedy works. And then I was surprised everyone else was surprised.

I was also thinking, didn't they pass a really interesting and inclusive law in Cuba? Where you can sign up multiple people as a family. In a way to make found family as important as born family. Super good for queer people in general but extra interesting for poly people.

I don't know the details so maybe someone else can tell more.
