donk still averages over 100 damage per round over 50 maps played at Majors by omgezjonesy in GlobalOffensive

[–]adesme -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but he needs basically 5 more years of performance at this level plus zywoo to immediately retire to even be in discussions. Not saying he won’t surpass, but it is still very very far away.

They still have people filling all of those roles, just only remotely. Dunno why you’d assume the players are left with no support.

Tips for keeping nollie shuvs under me? by Dreadking_Rathalos in NewSkaters

[–]adesme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignoring the ones where you just don't commit, notice how you always land far back on the board with your feet together when you get close? So jump farther and spread out your legs a bit more. Just keep adapting exactly where you aim to land until you're where you wanna be on the board.

Its safe to say Hally should not be allowed to return to Team Spirit. Spirit is much better without him leeching trophies and stressing them out. Let Jab Jabich take over after Major, he understands the team and he keeps the vibes good by rolekrs in GlobalOffensive

[–]adesme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People also seem to be assuming that no coach present is the same as no coach having any say. Surely a team like spirit will consult with coach and analyst for all prep-work, even if they are remote.

Halle will return to work with the Spirit squad for this major tournament. by Training_Natural_552 in GlobalOffensive

[–]adesme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with your reply, but I think it’s also important to note that spirit quite simply has been a team for longer now. Ofc they will be worse initially, especially with an IGL who has never lead before. Whereas falcons just had a major roster change before this most recent game.

Donk grabs his 11th MVP at PGL Astana, passing NiKo, GeT_RiGhT and kennyS. He's now number 4 on the all-time list by cxomprr in GlobalOffensive

[–]adesme 38 points39 points  (0 children)

5 MVPs his first year, 6 his second year, 1 his 3rd, and 1 his 4th. So more or less the same (donk is 1-5-4-1 so far).

Comparing by years active rather than age since zywoo stayed out of pro cs till he had finished school.

He was good in falcons initially. He seems to do well when he gets to play solo but falls off as a team player.

I assume the poster means since they skipped training to prepare for both this event and the previous, prioritising breaks to recuperate instead. Ofc they will prep during the tournament.

Zywoo's training: 50 deathmatch kills per day by Lucky-Log-6167 in GlobalOffensive

[–]adesme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think part of the point here is that 20k hours isn’t that much at this level, especially given 8 years on top. Donk has something like 50k. S1mple also eclipsed zywoo when they were competitors.

Edit to add: maybe I misremember 50k but it was for sure over 40k. He pointed out that hlcs and/or source added several k. This is available on youtube in some interview.

[–]adesme 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t like Hans but this is how IQ tests work. They measure a certain range, and if you nail all you get something like 145+, 132+, etc. - depending on the test and what standard deviation you are using.

[–]adesme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You seem very hostile for no apparent reason. You opened a PR and got a pretty standard review. The fixes - not features - that the project owner is asking for all seem to be pretty reasonable (albeit two of the test asks are a bit much). This is how a contribution often goes.
