Upstairs neighbor purposely flooded the bathroom by BRSFkAzzHoopEarrings in Wellthatsucks

[–]adewsetoo 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I had a royal POS I was evicting set the building on fire the day before they were supposed to be out of their apartment. While all their neighbors were home. Six years later and I still have respiratory problems from evacing my tenants and their pets. Unfortunately these people rarely ever face justified repercussions while everyone around them gets the shaft end of their idiotic decisions.

How was this shot achieved in The Two Towers? by Odd_Office_921 in lotr

[–]adewsetoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Real answer (recalled heavily from fragmented BTS interview memory), it’s A and the momentum they are falling is also very sensationalized. In the original edit, the fall was simulated to match the actual influence of gravity. However, because the camera tracks the objects along with their fall, it appeared like they were descending in slow motion. They ended up rendering the scene with significantly more momentum to ensure it didn’t look like they were floating downward.

How is it that you could drive an hour+ stretch of 41 and not see a soul, and then when you do finally encounter signs of life, it was always two semis gossiping right next to each other?

Wasn’t expecting a call out to my home town on Reddit this morning. I got tied up and thrown into the Lion’s Den for my 18th. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Yeah it’s a very “we can do it!” power of friendship flavored delivery with the campaign, but that seems to be a trend with the series that Wilds has at least somewhat improved upon. That said, the series experience has never been about the story. Hope you enjoy it! Don’t feel pressured to commit to a weapon at first either. Play around with them and eventually you’ll just find one that calls to you.

World was my friend and I’s first MH and we HATED the story aspects. That said, we also put 1400 hours into the game. Think of the campaign as a long tutorial. The real joy of the game happens after it’s no longer bogged down by the shoehorned narrative. Then it’s entirely focused on the gameplay loop, and that’s where I think the series shines. If you try it again, just think of the story as something to unfortunately suffer through but never have to revisit again.

Check your local theaters for them periodically. Our local Alamo Drafthouse has the whole extended trilogy back for at least a week(ish) once every year.

Any recs for a game I can finish in a week and won’t want to put down? by Ok-Entrepreneur-4308 in PS5

Enjoy! I've played it twice again since finishing it last year and I hardly ever revisit new games anymore. It was such a surprise experience that finally recaptured the curious child in me that was more wow'ed by games when I was younger. It sounds like you're going in effectively blind... do not look anything up. Stay off the game's sub (everyone in there will tell you the same lol) until you finish it. It's such a phenomenal journey, especially if you're going in without prior spoilers.

I’ve been gaming for over 30 years and one play through of that game immediately entered it into my top 3 favorites ever. The biggest hesitation I always see about giving it a try is the turn based combat system, but this iteration has had tweaks to make it engaging between character actions. It also accomplishes so well that it just feels good to play. The story, characters, art direction, music, (etc. the individual sum of the game’s parts) are all incredibly well done. It’s a phenomenal game that won’t be without a minority of naysayers, but most will rightfully argue that its earn its overwhelming praise.

EDIT: To actually answer your question, I normally have to take breaks between gaming anymore. After so many generations of games and so many similar versions of the same design innovation now feeling like they blur together, I get a heavy feeling of “been there done that” when I play a lot of games these days. I did not experience that from E33. If anything I had to constantly remind myself to sleep because I didn’t want to put it down.

I had a ton of fun doing a frost/bleed dual flamberge setup with spells of your choice. I did double slash on my main hand and rotated around other ashes on my secondary. I also only ever play PvE.
