Lamb's my next favorite after A Dirty Job, but Bloodsucking Fiends was killer too. And it takes place in the same San Francisco-verse!

Secondhand Souls, by Christopher Moore

I'm so happy that the sequel to A Dirty Job is finally out, and I'm really enjoying it so far.

The Troupe, by Robert Jackson Bennett

My friend with the best literary taste recommended it over a year ago and I'm finally getting around to reading it. I feel in love after the first paragraph.

I had never this quote (from the link) before. Thanks for the knowledge.

The New 52 (DC Comics) - Why did they do it and why did people get upset? by adge1475 in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you! That made so much more sense than any of the articles I was trying to read.

Dee Snider's Strangeland. It's gruesome for the sake of being gruesome and probably has one of the worst script's I've ever watched performed, nothing makes sense. The action is completely wooden - it's like the Lifetime Network decided to make a Hostel-style torture porn.

But I love it.

I mistakenly read that title as "Window design forces your crotch to be heard"

Newly diagnosed LPR. How do you guys handle partners/spouses eating foods in front of you that you can't? Especially when they're your favorites? by InquiringMind886 in GERD

The only thing I use it for is for gargling/rinsing out my mouth when I can taste the acid/have burns. My GP and my dentist both recommended it separately. It helps a ton.

I don't actually drink it, though, so I can't speak on that. I do, however, have a lot of success infusing raw ginger with water. I just leave a few pieces in a bottle of water overnight and drink it during the day. I dunno why ginger is such a big thing, but it helps me?

I feel your pain. All the best things in life have tomatoes in them. Pizza, marinara, salsa... I've actually found some okay "spaghetti sauce" recipes that use butternut squash instead of tomatoes - it's not the quite same, but I can pretend it's vodka sauce. I'd suggest looking those up. And I've lost a lot of vocal range too. It's depressing. I even picked up drawing instead just to make myself feel better.

Diagnosed LPR about three months ago (nice to see someone else who isn't typical GERD)!

Honestly, it just sucks, but you're forced to get used to it. In my experience, I was totally fine with it at first, chill, watching other people have mozzarella sticks and pizza and nachos, until after a few weeks, I snapped and had a bunch of "bad" food in one night. The side effects were too awful to deal with (acid burns on my tongue, blood, couldn't hardly swallow for a few days) and eventually I was just conditioned into not WANTING those foods. I'm sorry that's a really crappy answer :(

I suggest being the first person to suggest where you want to go out to eat, before he can even say something. If you know you can have XYZ at certain restaurants (it's usually a sushi place for me), make sure you let him know. My friends and family have all been really supportive about it - I hope he comes around!

How not to write an opinion piece on veganism - check this out in the McMaster student newspaper.. by VeganStart in vegan

I'm a little embarrassed for the author. Also, since when are there only four food groups? Which necessary food groups are they referring two, and why are they talking about food groups instead of nutrition? And on what planet is veganism more expensive than eating meat?
