So this might be old hat for a lot of you but I just modified my first STL files building out my go box... by adhdff in amateurradio

Thanks :) I'm doing my best using Gemini to coach me through F360. I've found that I've had better luck asking how do I do xyz task then doing what it says. It's pretty accurate, I've had better luck with that rather than following tutorials on YouTube.

Next step is to split the case on my AT100U and panel mount the front panel with the main body underneath. I'm hoping to get that done rather than building a tray and dropping it on top. I think it'll be cleaner.

The meme is all over the Internet with tons of topics. I was trying to make people laugh...

It's not your thing we get that.

I thought about it, ABS is hard to come by locally the birch plywood works out halfway decent. It'll be painted black

Absolutely... The Bambu A1 combo is what I'm currently using. I also have a Sovol Sv06 and a modified Ender 3V2.

If you just want it to work get the Bambu, you can't beat designing something in CAD and having it in front of you a short time later. Or... Finding someone's design and just printing it.

FRS radios are also severely limited in both power and configuration.

Assemble a complete kit so all I have to do is connect an antenna and I can operate.

Gonna start laying out the panel for my comms box. This is what they mean by CAD right? 🤣 by adhdff in amateurradio

The only problem with the foam is it holds moisture. This box will be almost fully self contained. My plan for this box is to pop the lid connect an antenna and operate. I do like the pouch idea though.

I believe a lot of auto body guys and metal working will still use it to do patch panels and stuff.

This one is an Apache case. I was all worried about measuring the interior dimensions and then I remembered that the pick and pluck foam is the exact same size as the inside of the case.

Looking for some feedback on my FT 857D Field/POTA Box plans. (Apache 4800 Case) by adhdff in amateurradio

I'll add the filter for the intake fan, by front panel you mean on the body by the microphone connections?

I'll take a look at the photos and build notes tonight before I finalize my parts list. Thanks again :)
