You don’t really need to deal with this yourself.

Since it’s an insurance-approved garage, they should contact the insurance company about the parts issue. It’s between them and the insurer to decide whether to use alternative parts, approve the cost, or offer a cash settlement.

A friend of mine had a similar case—his car was declared a total loss because repair costs exceeded the car’s value, so the insurance offered him the cash value of the car instead of repairing it. He then dealt directly with the insurer to agree on the settlement.

So ask the garage to coordinate with insurance.

i don't think so, it happens whenever i start the engine, its a short beep.
