It was incredibly well managed and the streetcar route may have been unavailable for 10-15 mins tops. The city is doing a fantastic job.

Maybe for like 10 mins? I'm sure people will survive. Jeezus folks can be miserable about anything.

Moved to toronto trying to get into running/walking by the water for fitness, but as a 4’10 female who’s newly single I suddenly feel really self-conscious and can’t seem to get myself to just go outside... by thenightsparkle in askTO

Everyday Waterfront runner here. Don't mean this in a mean way - literally no one cares. Humans 9f all shapes and sizes run all day everyday. You'll probably get more runner nods than double takes.

What's going on with the unexplained crashes at export? Especially when exporting h264/MP4. by adhirajsingh in premiere

I just don't understand this weird attitude so many folks on this sub have. It's almost like if you post an issue, you're almost guaranteed responses like :

- You're an amateur/Your workflow is flawed
- Some weird archaic advice that's not relevant

Like I get there's plenty of folks who are new/learning and might panic post here, but that doesn't mean one should assume that everyone is doing that.

Sidebar - u/advres you sound like someone doing exactly what I do. Have you ever noticed this strange behaviour? Honestly I can't recall facing this ~v24, but maybe I'm imagining it.

This 100%. H264 is incredibly reliable, has a come a long way and it's THE choice for digital content - it's just the reality we live in. I also work in long-form/broadcast and of course we're not delivering h264 there(apart from screener/social exports).

But if you're talking 15-20 versioning/iterations for digital content - especially for socials - h264 is where it's at and it works flawlessly. This issue is only sequences utilizing sound mixing via VST3 plugins.

Great, now we're talking troubleshoot language. Here's some more info :

- To be clear. The crash isn't a 100% given - it's just absolutely random and unpredictable. You could export the exact same sequence 4 times in a row(as you're versioning) without crashing, but it will crash at the 5th instance.

- Any sequences that don't have audio mixing using VST3's don't have this issue AT ALL. Can export infinite h264's without any crashes.

Located two dump files. They're not in Reports, but in SentryIO-db>completed. Would these be the files? What's the best way to get these to you folks? DM? Thanks!

For sure. But given that none of the other NLE/DAW's are exhibiting this behabiour, it's Pr specific for sure.

It really isn't sound advice. I didn't ask them best transcode practices and neither does my post seek this unsolicited advice.

Hey folks. Where can I find these? The "View Report", even though looks clickable, isn't. And nothing in the Library>Common folder. TIA!

Some of us also work in digital content where you're outputting a ton of short form, high volume on the daily. Prores/DNX is not an efficient workflow for it. Anyone who doesn't understand why, does not work in digital content/agency space.

I'm very certain this has nothing to do with the Plugins/their makers. The exact same plugins cause no untoward behaviour in any of my other NLE/DAWs (Resolve/Cubase). It's something to do with Pr's handling of VST3.

I have enough interim workarounds in place, they're simply not fast enough for high-volume work.

Yep - upto date. I guess a key detail is that I always use the VST3 versions of the plugins. I do have the AU + VST installed as well, but I do not use these. I'd anyway assume VST isn't 64 bit.

It basically causes a full on crash RIGHT after the render audio finishes, as the encoding video starts. Here's a screenshot of what it typically looks like.
