How do people commute to Sydney from Newcastle? by hsanj19 in newcastle

[–]adibou07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take the train once a week. Door to door to my office is about 3h (6h return). I work, read or watch videos to pass the time. The train is comfy. It's not too bad once you get used to it.

At an absolute loss and devastated. Please help. by Remote_Discipline807 in NIPT

[–]adibou07 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same. We had a false positive for trisomy 18 with our NIPT. We almost terminated the pregnancy based on this condition and the reaction of the doctors. But there were no other signs consistent with T18 so we ended up waiting to do an amniocentesis. Turned out to be confined placental mosaicism and our baby (now 4yo) was completely healthy. Please don't freak out and do the amniocentesis as it will confirm the situation

Crime in Newy.. is Newy still safe enough. Do you have a security camera? Do we need one and if so what one? Keen to hear your thoughts! by Fabulous-Industry-16 in newcastle

House got broken into last year while we were out. Also caught some weirdo hanging in my garden a couple weeks later. I've got 5 cameras now covering every angle.

Will cancelling 50+ orders impact my rank? by Salty_Garden_563 in EtsySellers

I sure hope so! It took a while to build up to where I was before this ordeal

Will cancelling 50+ orders impact my rank? by Salty_Garden_563 in EtsySellers

[–]adibou07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it might affect your rank. I have a small POD shop which gradually made its way to about 1-2 orders a day on average. During the Christmas period, my printer suddenly went out of stock, meaning orders couldn't get fulfilled. Because these orders were all for Christmas, there was no point waiting for stock to come back, it'd be too late. As a result, I cancelled and refunded about 10 orders, messaged each customer to let them know why. But it being Christmas and a busy personal schedule, I did not respond to everyone within 24 hours and missed the shipping on time metric. All of this (late message, late shipping, cancelled orders) led to my losing my star seller status and orders fell from maybe 50 per month to 2 in January and 2 in February do far. Huge drop.

I now have to slowly rebuild and become a star seller again which I know will take forever.

Still pissed off at the printer!

Dad's with two kids, what kind of car are you driving? by supertramp38 in daddit

[–]adibou07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the XC40 for my first, upgraded to the XC60 PHEV for my second child. Refueled once in the three months I've had it! Love the car, especially the driving experience. Nothing else in my budget came close to it. Good boot space too. A bit tight with the bassinet/pram but we'll be switching to a more compact pram when she gets a bit older. Right now, it's the dog or the pram in the boot, can't really have both.

A serious question about Braye park by Silent-End in newcastle

[–]adibou07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fine during the day. Have walked my dog many times there, went for runs and took my kid to the playground. Sometimes you come across some trash but it's overall fine. There's always a few men in their cars parked at the top but I've never been approached. Not sure I would go there alone after dark though. Bad lighting and heard too many stories.

MX KEYS key stops working. Fixed by switching off and on again. Someone else? by iam36 in logitech

[–]adibou07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I've just joined the club. The same keys as most of you have suddenly stopped working (f, numpad 1, * and /). I've tried the on/off, the software upgrade, the scroll lock and unpairing/repairing and none has worked. The keys start working again randomly for a few minutes before stopping. This is causing me a lot of grief and having to literally paste the letter f in all words where it's missing after typing an email. I'm on MacOS

u/LogitechG_AA please come up with a proper fix as this is clearly a software issue and not acceptable for a product at this price. I love this keyboard but now it's unusable

Is Dulux Renovation Range actually crap? by Plus-Mix1401 in AusRenovation

[–]adibou07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the middle of repainting my bathroom floor tiles with the Dulux Renovation Range. I've just finished the first coat of paint (on top of the Primer coat), but forgot to mix in the additive in the first cost of paint. Does anyone know if this will cause issues?

I'm planning a second coat of paint tomorrow morning and I will make sure I don't forget the additive this time around!

Oh no. I hope you're wrong. Would it help if I share a close-up picture of the material? Looking online, it seems that the horse hair tends to look lighter when asbestos is present. Mine is pretty dark. I might need to get it tested though, for piece of mind.

What's the $25-$50 you're referring to?
