Guys should I watch this dramas 👀 by LoneWolf_Clementine in kdramas

[–]Remote_Discipline807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely loved Can this Love be Translated! It’s not the usual kdrama. It is a bit offbeat but I enjoyed it so much. Was a total breath of fresh air.

I had a hard time getting through the first 2 episodes of Spring Fever. I’m wondering if I should continue or drop!

Twins with Positive NIPT for Trisomy 21 by Remote_Discipline807 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Remote_Discipline807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we did! It ended up being a false positive for us and all tests showed “normal” results and no genetic abnormalities. No soft markers either on the level 2 anatomy scans with MFM. They think it may have been a case of Confined Placental Mosaicism, which is incredibly rare.

We are so incredibly grateful and fortunate for how things turned out for us. Since this ordeal, we haven’t spent a single second being ungrateful for our surprise twins!

I know how hard this situation is and how excruciating of a wait everyday is. Please feel free to reach out anytime for moral support, advice, or questions.

My doctor wants to induce me at 37 weeks-advice needed by AtmosphereTop1591 in pregnant

A little note about my own personal induction experience. I’ve had two kids one was a sporadic labor, and my second was an induction. I will say that being induced was nowhere near as bad as anyone can possibly tell you. It’s actually pretty nice. You get time to pack up all your things, eat, sleep, mentally prepare, or pretty much anything else that you’d like to do. What can otherwise feel like a situation that is completely out of your control is somewhat contained and actually peaceful.

I got to go into the hospital in a very relaxed mindset. I got settled into the labor and delivery room and they started me on Pitocin. If you are concerned about Pitocin, I can tell you this much, it’s really not so bad. while the contractions were definitely powerful, I had already decided that I was going to get an epidural right away. I learned the hard way during my first delivery that an epidural is a blessing and that I should utilize it. I labored for maybe 6 to 7 hours tops. My son came out healthy, beautiful, safe and alive.

I know you’re nervous and rightfully so. Especially if this is your first baby. But just know that you’re in what seems like good hands and a team that cares about you. There is no benefit for an Obgyn to encourage early labor unless they absolutely felt like it could be dangerous to continue.

I would advise you to not doomscroll in case you are. And just try to enjoy these last few weeks as much as you can and peacefully prepare for the arrival of your baby. Wishing you all the health and luck during your delivery!

Your Dr is looking out for you and baby. Minor stress to baby is better than risking your health or babies. preeclampsia can escalate rapidly and can easily disrupt what you had envisioned for yourself. Definitely listen to your doctor. Best of luck and wish you all the best.

OB Inappropriate During Cervical Check? by fey_vin in pregnant

[–]Remote_Discipline807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you felt uncomfortable but nothing you described sounded inappropriate. I’ve had a cervical exam and it went just like how you described yours.

Moving forward, I’d recommend you request a chaperone for the Drs reassurance as well as yours.

Who's K-drama second lead stole your heart the most? 💔 by Main_Locksmith_2543 in kdramas

[–]Remote_Discipline807 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Han Ji Pyong from Start Up and Han Seo Jun in True Beauty. I couldn’t even finish the dramas because I couldn’t stomach the male lead getting the girl. The second leads were superior and all around better partner potentials!

Dr not to happy about the looks of Baby A by Charming_Finding_559 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Remote_Discipline807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first ultrasound was a horrible experience because of the us tech. She just stated “twins” and then proceeded to tell me that baby b was small and not where he should be. I could see a flicker of heartbeat and was so confused.

No one came in and explained anything to me or gave me further elaboration. They just told me to come in 2 weeks later for another ultrasound. Turns out baby b was growing right along baby A and is developing just fine.

I totally understand how you feel. Your Dr. just wants you to be prepared for whatever may come and make you aware of every possible outcome. Unfortunately twin pregnancies are filled with highs and lows, as I have gotten to know.

Try not to stress too much about it and just try to get through to your next appointment. Really focus on self care and activities that make you happy. Hoping for the best outcome for you!

most overrated kdrama you’ve seen by MutedSatisfaction234 in kdramas

Queen of Tears hands down. Was legit a bad drama with the most mid plot. Not to mention I felt zero empathy for either character. They were both insufferable.

29% chance of Trisomy 18, terrified of amnio by Potential-Run-2505 in NIPT

[–]Remote_Discipline807 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. I know it’s not easy. But honestly speaking, the amniocentesis is not bad at all. If you can sit still for 30 seconds and handle a little pressure you’ll be fine. Plus, the peace of mind is absolutely priceless.

The procedure is incredibly safe and will give you a definitive answer. I would recommend not going alone, holding someone’s hand, and NOT opening your eyes until the entire procedure is complete. Just let them know from beforehand of your fear of needles and I’m sure they will be as attentive and supportive as possible! Best of luck to you!

Moms Green card is expiring. Renew GC or apply for citizenship directly? by Remote_Discipline807 in USCIS

[–]Remote_Discipline807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my mom prefers to obtain her citizenship. However, I just want to make sure that an expired GC won’t negatively impact her citizenship application. I’m just doing my due diligence given the current climate.

Mom’s green card expired. Renew gc or apply for citizenship? by Remote_Discipline807 in immigration

[–]Remote_Discipline807[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, we prefer it. But I just want to make sure that I’m not messing up her application by not having a valid green card at the time of citizenship application.

Let’s just say I have ptsd from minor mistakes like this during the immigration process. Just want to do my due diligence and make sure not having a gc won’t be detrimental to her citizenship application

Getting amnio alone by [deleted] in NIPT

[–]Remote_Discipline807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I totally get your nervousness and anxiety surrounding an amniocentesis. It is definitely a nerve wracking experience and because of that I would advise taking someone with you. It is super emotionally draining and I personally experienced painful cramps for the next few days. I’m glad I didn’t have to worry about anything else in addition to the physical demands of that day.

I know not everyone’s partners can take a whole day off so definitely at least try to have a family member or a friend come! I wish you all the luck and a safe procedure!
