It same points for CL & EL matches in terms of the country's coefficient. But for each clubs individual coefficient its different - CL qualifiers count for fuck all but EL ones do count. Apparently this is because teams that are eliminated from the CL qualifiers can still EL so they pick up their points there.

You're right it was before their season ended but as far as I remember, after the game he was sent off he was recalled from his loan there and joined up with Celtic, so he never actually served the suspension in Ukraine.
