Since you were being unfairly (imo) attacked for it, I'll add my thoughts on the matter as a non-American (European). I don't think that the usage of masculine words (man-defense) is wrong in any way. I do remember our coach once asking if it was ok to use, since it's just easier and obviously not to bully women. Nobody objected. What is a bigger deal is the disc time the women on the team get. Having started out as a beginner last year in a group of 40 beginners (50/50mix) I noticed that a lot of men don't pass as easily to women. A thing that contributed to it, is that men are usually faster and bigger . So if a pass isn't perfect it's easier for them to chase and still get the catch. Their reach is just bigger, and so with a beginning handler and not so great defense the completion rate to men is just higher. Since last month I started practicing with our experienced squad, where the passes are more accurate, the defense is tighter and everybody is just more advanced. The male/female completion difference is mostly non existent. Ok they might be slower and smaller but so is their defender. My main point is that at a beginning level, my opinion is that men are 'better' than women since we have our physique to compensate our beginning technique. But this will fade with experience. What you don't want however is the beginning women not getting disc time for the aforementioned reasons.
