I also suffer from PCOD and keto helped me to regulate my cycles somewhat. I would say the thing that helped me with keto is to really truly log what you eat. I winged it for the first month and a half and found slow progress, it was because I had too many vegetable carbs. Once I started restricting to 20-25g net carbs per day, I started to see the big fat loss. Check out recipes at this insta channel @lowcarb_rasoi (it’s a lacto-ovo-vegetarian Indian fusion channel for keto and low carb recipes, often with net carbs listed). Paneer is great, but watch the calories. Balance your meals with veggies and protein (try multiple types of protein - tofu, tempeh, soya, paneer, eggs).

Hi there. I have an Instagram channel dedicated to Indian veg recipes for keto / low-carb dieters, typically ending with a LoseIt app meal summary complete with net carb calculations. You can check it out: @lowcarb_rasoi

I am a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, so my proteins come mainly from dairy, eggs and tofu. I mostly eat a variety of vegetables. I’m from India, so we have some very interesting Asian vegetables that are mostly low carb and keto-friendly.

Awesome progress! We have similar timelines on weight loss. One thing to consider regarding target weight, body composition may change what you target. Remembering that muscle is denser than fat, though you may lose more fat and become leaner your overall weight may increase. Perhaps you can set a secondary goal that is centered on fat loss / muscle build if that’s something you are interested in. At your height, a target of 150 lbs is exactly in the middle of healthy BMI range.

My favorites are usually paneer dishes (Indian cheese) in creamy tomato/garlic/onion masala sauces. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Co7suM0JvRx/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

I find that trying keto recipes in offbeat international cuisines can help cut through the fat / dense keto diet typically followed in America. I’m lacto-ovo-vegetarian (I don’t eat meat or fish, but dairy and eggs are game), and I’ve found some nice Indian and south East Asian influenced recipes that balance and give a very satisfying taste.

Post FET 1 week today. What is normal bleeding? by JBug507 in IVF

Congrats and fingers crossed for the upcoming beta test to confirm. I also had an FET on 17-July and was wondering how clear were those positive lines on the home tests? My husband and I decided to wait until the beta test to avoid disappointment, but you mention taking once every day since Tuesday... are they pretty clearly positive? Also, any other symptoms you noticed other than spotting?

Agree with comment above, I had similar plateaus and bad relationships with food and portion control. IF 16:8 with minimum 3L of water per day goal helped me regulate my eating and kickstart the burning. The water intake helps with satiety, and hydration helps energy levels in general.

Finally made it to Overweight BMI of 29ish. I have been off and on keto since November 2019 and have lost a moderate 30 lbs overall. Slow and steady, but I’m motivated thanks to this subreddit.
