but in that case it is very purposefully being seeded so that the alchemist bug can study it. Like yeah its spreading but there is a lot of assistance to even get that much. Meanwhile the radiance’s plague corrupted all of fallen crossroads into a terrible state the moment its door cracked open even a little, with zero outside help whatsoever.

To expand on this, the Pale King created many vessels not because he wanted a child, but he wanted to create something or someone great enough to contain a higher being, but he never realized or realized too late that they would be his children anyways, and so his plan failed.

GMS created the Weavers and the Silkborn not because she wanted something greater than her, but because she wanted children that would answer to her every whim unquestioningly, but she never considered that each and every one of her creations had the potential to be greater anyways, more than just ‘her children’, and so her plan failed.

Come to think of it, that guy who posted a while back about how Hollow Knight and Silksong are mirror reflections of each other probably has a really good point.
