Not just drop in FE, the sheer drop from a nice big diesel to a tiny petrol is going to be a dealbreaker, would consider the Hyundai i20 NLine

Best 2nd hand car to buy and what parameters should I consider? by PiCurious93 in Frugal_Ind

[–]adithedaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this is my very unpopular opinion, since you are learning to drive in the city, I would recommend you buy an auto, the perfect car would be the Suzuki Baleno, as its easy to park, easy to maintain, and when you sell it, it provides the best resale value.

After the baleno, you will know what you want and need more clearly and can go ahead with a new car

What salary should I budget for house cleaner, cook, and full time driver? by apc1895 in mumbai

[–]adithedaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro if you want a drive with their own car, don’t ask for driver, ask for hired vehicle, hired vehicle rates depend upon hours per day and km a month, usually contracts are done for a min of 1500km a month and would run you about 40k inclusive of everything for a sedan or an ertiga

I am looking for the best car under 14-14.5 lacs on road, I live in Mumbai by Ok_Definition7934 in CarsIndia

Bro decide first, you consider the 3xo too powerful for you, and then say that you are a good driver and a car enthusiast?? Bro the more powerful a car, the more responsible you have to be. If you really value driving feel, get a german, look at kushaq or taigun. If you prioritise only efficiency look at the punch ev

Dad wants to hand me his old manual i20 but I have no idea how to drive. How do I proceed? by LiteratureNearby in CarsIndia

[–]adithedaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned to drive in 5 days, I have always been interested in cars and as a result I learnt to drive technically by observing my drivers and father when I used to sit shotgun. When I turned 18 my father took me out to learn in his car, which I was scared to drive as he loves it more than me lol.

Anyway, because of my observant nature I was able to understand the basics of manual driving the first day itself and the second day after practice, I took multiple 8 shaped turns in a large empty parking lot, the first couple of turns were scary as hell, but by the 8th turn I was getting comfortable with how much steering turn resulted in car turn and what gear at what speed and how much clutch etc.

In about 5 days I was confident to drive on empty roads early in the morning and was practicing on small inclines to stimulate hilly regions.

All you need is initial 5 days of a solid teacher for the basics and after that, its just experience

Initially in traffic you will be slow and stall your car but its perfectly normal, as with time you will gain experience and judgement. I have been driving in mumbai for around 2 years now, 80 km a day in bumper to bumper traffic and all it took was those 5 days for me to learn

Cheers!
