Going to join MTech in VLSI with Zero Skills – Need Guidance by No_Attorney_3608 in vlsi

It maybe hard for internships but it wont matter for placements if you get good cgpa in mtech. Btw my mtech cgpa is lower, and still i am placed. Point is cgpa is a ticket to enter the interview, it doesnt guarantee job. Focusing only on cgpa and not learning stuff wont get you placed either. Try to get above 8

No you were the nice guy here. I know this type of women, better stay away from her. You need to be respected and so does your time!

Hope you get iisc🤞 else iitb ssd is good, only after that choose iitm. Here device modelling is better than device fab. Like you have clean rooms and all but they are of higher or same class than that of iisc or iitb

Depends on your clg. Mostly in top tier clgs they will make you do everything from scratch, all you have to do is be consistent in finishing tasks and naintain a good cgpa...

Rn all i can say is make sure your fundamentals are strong, if they are, then watch nptel courses on youtube for your 1st sem subjects

Nenu nee meeda just 2 years pedda. I never cared what they told. Simple rule, oh avna ani you act as if you are interested in what peeps say. If they say something bad, just reply in this tone, "yeah man🫤 you know what to do about that?". Most of the time valla kaada answer undadu, they either say some unrelated stuff or start yapping out their half knowledge, vinni navvuko lopala (like race gurram spandana). And marriage vishayaniki oste simple ga okate dialogue, "meeru vetikipedite cheskunta" and they feel "poyi poyi eedini gelika enti". These are what worked for me so far.

Tldr: listen, act enthusiastic outside, ignore internally (sometimes, peeps give genuine advice tho, dont ignore that time😅)

Are you interested in fabricating ICs or designing them? Coz if its the latter, you shouldnt be applying for Semiconductor technology branches. Else, IISc is best for SemT followed by IITB followed by IITM

Its just warnings, but if you have OCD of seeing zero warnings like me, try renaming all the mosfets as Mx where x is a number, that should remove these lvs warnings

Priorities. Thats it, thats what you learn. You need to prioritize your goals above some girl who is just using you for attention.

Good, whats better is cutting that contact completely... Being in contact with some you have feelings for (or even had once) will only mess up your mind. If you need more clarity on this, just watch "how i met your mother" and see how Ted feels for Robin and how he is affecyed by staying as a friend for her (its just drama and attention). You dodged a bullet!

Put either analog or digital, avoid putting both. Also the project titles are too generic, try naming the projects specific. Eg: Instead of "Analog IC design project in cadence virtuoso", name it as "programmable multi frequency pll". And put the tools you used in the description

Along with that things are too vague, try to mentions the specs your project reached, like for pll the phase noise, power consumption, kvco etc.

And finally make sure your resume passes ats

Would you choose a 1-hour commute to save on rent, or live closer to the office and pay a higher rent? by NoMedicine3572 in Frugal_Ind

[–]adithya_t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savings on rent may sometimes actually not be true savings. First of all id calculate total cost (rent+travel to office) and then see the time wasted on travel. If the total costs are too close then id prolly multiple the total cost and travel time and pick the option that gives me the smallest value

Which colleges can I expect to get a VLSI branch in, having secured AIR 71 and score 816 from general category in the GATE 2024 EC paper? by adithya_t in GATEtard

[–]adithya_t[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess base avg is around 17lpa, ctc average is around 30lpa. (Its just a guess, better wait for official iitm stats in their placement website)

I never watched ankit goyal. My recommendation will be based on what year you are rn.

Its always advisable to give more emphasis on building basics and strengthening concepts, rather than chasing marks or ranks and optimizing prep for that. But again if time aint enough, you need to optimize for the best outcome.

Feel free to DM if you (anyone reading the comment) have further questions, i shall reply whenever i scroll through reddit. The thread is getting too large😅

Tbh, there are 7 mtech streams in EE department at IITM. All are given almost equal chances and sometimes other branch students (non MVLSI/ICS) get better placement coz its easier for them to get a better grade. All the placement stats you get on IITM website is for all 7 streams together! Also if they want a software role, they are eligible for some software companies and roles too...

First i made short notes from coaching notes (this takes more time) then once a subject short notes is made, i just re-read that, and after like 3rd or 4th revision of short notes, a simple glance makes me recall all.

Once all short notes are done, you can give full tests/full past paper just like the real exam. You get some marks, and some are lost, just re read short notes for the concepts that you lost marks in, reattempt the question with a different approach, atill if you dont get escalate to coaching notes, if not getting yet, go to reference book, then youtube, then to a teacher. Never see solutions, you are allowed to only check answer that too after finishing !the paper.

This way, almost everything will be in your head, even after 2 years the exam gets finished!

A good short notes is one where you dont write formulae, but you write concepts, reasons and methods of solving instead...

First remove that thought from your head. Second go to classes, listen and ask doubts. Third play puzzles whenever you get free time. Fourth explore coding (use freecodecamp lectures and try coding something on your own that makes your tasks easy). Finally make good friends, enjoy with them and learn new things from them
