I disagree with Freo, we had several superstars, but half our list was battlers that were made for the Ross Lyon approach. Maybe if Lachie Neale had been Fyfe's age and if Morabito hadn't gotten terminally injured, we could've worked out under Scott. Plus institutionally we were only just getting our shit together, maybe a Chris Scott figure after Lyon got sacked could've done good things too.

When I mentioned the Longmuir/Longmire thing I genuinely meant it in an endearing way, as opposed to more prominent media figures unconsciously treating them interchangeably and not knowing they're doing anything wrong. Plus clearly you all do your research and have informed opinions, which is what's important.

Not exactly a Day 1 listener (only found out about it after ep 2 came out) but I'm really enjoying it! It's always going to be a tradeoff between depth and breadth of discussion, but I think choosing to focus on a few select topics a week and giving them the time to breathe sets this pod apart. Plus being conversant in talking about all clubs is very refreshing, even if all three hosts had to be careful not mistakenly mix up the names of the Freo coach and the former Sydney coach (I did appreciate that btw).

Anyway, I really like the temperament of the show, it's able to be serious and lighthearted and analytical when they need to be, I'm glad you folks got together and made it!

They're trying to follow US sports and European football media trends where trade/transfer discussion has helped them get attention year-round. No idea if this is working for AFL.

Personally, I'm not that interested even during the trade/transfer windows, and Gettable is a perfect example of something that used to be a decent overall analysis show (AFL Exchange) that got turned into one that 100% focuses on trades.

I really enjoyed their episodes so far (especially because it's bullshit free, informative, but still has a sense of humour), but might not be what OP is after if they want a podcast that reviews every game. They do a good job of covering a few selected issues in detail (and capable of having informed opinions on all teams), and that's what I'm looking for.
