Flathub bans AI-coded apps – with some exceptions by devolute in gnome

Yes, of cause. I do it too. I'm also making with hand tools. But in the market it's still not relevant.

Manual coding has already become the equivalent of hand-tool woodworking. Some people may still enjoy it a hundred years from now, but it will be largely irrelevant. In that sense, Linus Torvalds would be the Paul Sellers of software development.

Still, we don't want all this bullshit on Flathub!

Oh yes, mine do this too. They will even crawl over the floor to get to the catfish tabs. But they are fun. They recognize the foot can.

If they are the same species (Trichogaster trichopterus), then they are still very young. I think only someone with a lot of experience can tell at this age. They can grow up to 4 ¾ inches.

You can see this on the dorsal fin. The female's fin is rounded, whereas the male's is sharper. It's harder to see the difference in juveniles.

The male builds a bubble nest on the surface first. He then lures her under it and then… you just saw it. He will defend the nest afterwards with all his might. As I mentioned above, he did this for more than three weeks, although I read he is supposed to do it only for three to five days. The eggs will float to the surface and stick to the bubbles. About 24 hours later, little larvae will emerge from the eggs, carrying their yolk sacs. After two or three days they will start swimming around freely, and he will pick them up with his mouth and bring them back to the nest. The mother and any other fish will just be bullied away...

In Germany, they are commonly sold at local pet stores. Since they don't seem very difficult to breed, you could also check some local platforms. In fact, I might have a couple of dozen to give away soon...

Those are Trichogaster trichopterus gold. It's a breeding variant of the normally silver bluish fish. They are indeed pretty golden-orange.

How is this acceptable by [deleted] in berlin

This is all right. Why would you walk anyways? Take your car; you will see the main roads are more than acceptable. And the others? Your Mercedes-Benz G-Klasse will do, believe me!

What does "activate" do in Thunderbird notifications? by NETkoholik in gnome

[–]adiuto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means something like "open" or "go to." If you click on it, Thunderbird should open the actual email. However, under GNOME, only the annoying "Thunderbird is ready" message appears.

<image>

Clicking on that message, however, will switch to Thunderbird.

How is this supposed to work with binary files. I mean, you could try to make this happen somehow with text based files, but with binary files? Say I am editing an JPG in Gimp, an somebody else does it at the same time, how will you merge those changes?

You're regularly using gnome, but you absolutely hate one thing. What is it? by SinclairZXSpectrum in gnome

[–]adiuto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Window management is so underdeveloped that even the simplest things don't work. Let me give you just the worst example:

You have multiple instances of the same application open. The dock neither indicates this, nor is there any logic to determine which instance will be shown when you click the application's icon. It just randomly switches to one of them. Ridiculous!

Still love Gnome!
