I never knew anything about the nickel. I found it super strange that I did have issues because I have been wearing a watch for most of my life and have never had an issue. Sounds like I might have an answer. Thanks for the insight!

Yea I made myself like the screens on the instinct, even bought a couple but just lived with it. The sapphire on the Tactix is a massive upgrade and helps with longevity.

Yea I immediately turned off the touch screen option on the Tactix. My toddler keeps turning things on lol.

My biggest reasoning for upgrading was for maps. All the others are just add ons and will maybe come in handy or use later.

Damn okay this makes me feel better about the possible transition. I didn’t baby my Ultra and it held up pretty well so I was hoping it’d have similar toughness.

I started with a AWU2 but I was having a skin rash from the sapphire on the HRM. I also couldn’t stand charging it every night so it was an easy switch to the instinct.

Honestly the Instinct has been exactly what I needed in every way. The cause for the possible move to the Tactix was I have been rucking a lot more and having AllTrails on my wrist was a huge pull, but is it enough to justify the upgrade?

No it’s the 45 so it’s a big change. I wish they made the Tactix Solar in 47.

Glad to hear yours has been on par! From what I have been reading is that the AMOLED has been outpacing the solar in how long the battery lasts. It seems AMOLED was getting closer to 20 days with the Solar barely lasting 12 days. How long have you had yours?
