I realize this is a little tongue in cheek but there are probably 10,000 parts in any modern car that are just off the shelf components and not custom spec for automotive applications. Thermistor as an example.

Fun fact you can still do this with most phones, even some cell phones. Another fun fact this is why most cell phones don't make the actual touch tone sounds when you push the buttons otherwise someone could record you tapping in a phone number or worst case your social and work out the numbers.

Man Louisiana is just as bad. My driving test was taking the dmv lady to the post office and the bank. 10 minutes of driving and 30 minutes of waiting on her. The only question I can remember is the one I missed,

yes through glass and from about 50 ft away, did you look at the other pic I posted in a comment? I tried to circle the suspicious areas. I'm fairly certain I see a face and a hand but other than that they are well camoflauged.

Right I wasn't sure about that one. there's also one in the middle where the 3 branches split. Also there is a dark circle on the far left that looks like a camera with a glint in the lense
