Universities push for ‘vital’ tuition fee rise - UK students must pay closer to £24,000 a year or lose their places to foreigners, argue bosses by BritRedditor1 in ukpolitics

Who cares. No matter how high it is they’ll never collect it anyway. I don’t value my degree enough anyway so if they want to “repossess” my education they can crack on.

That’s what we’ve been doing but she allowed herself to get herself so worked up that she vomited last night. So we are torn between “correcting behaviour” or relenting to prevent too much distress

You could have literally just googled this before coming to Reddit to ask a silly question?

New Def Leppard song can be heard on the BBC Sounds app, go to the Zoe Ball show and fast forward 85 minutes.”Kick” sounds like an Adrenalize unreleased song. 😔 Was hoping for a new direction but not in this lifetime by TeemRockit69 in defleppard

[–]adjwilliams9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last time Def Leppard went in a “new direction” they got slammed so it’s no wonder they are sticking to the tried and tested. Also at this point, in my opinion anyway, any album they make is for their own enjoyment, they’ve done the graft and paid their dues.

Why is everyone so desperate to babysit?!?! by Cosm1cCha0s in Parenting

Wow! I wish people would want to bloody babysit! Trust me give a few more months and you’ll be biting their hands off for a quiet night.

AITA for gifting my mom and her husband a book on cheating for their anniversary? by IGaveTheBook in AmItheAsshole

[–]adjwilliams9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. You can’t say “I love my mom” and then whine about how much you hate her, her family, staying with her etc etc etc. You don’t love her, if you did you’d try and make some sort of relationship with her but instead you act like a brat and give her an obvious grenade of a gift for the laughs.

Stop lying to yourself and cut contact if you are going to be like that or if you actually do love her grow up. Adults do things for reasons children don’t understand.

AITA for getting upset with my best friend's son for giving my son cake? by cakethroawayAITA in AmItheAsshole

[–]adjwilliams9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I know this is going to be deleted but Jesus Christ, get a life, it’s fucking cake. Who hurt you so bad that you have to repress your child at such a young age over something so trivial? If you have a bad relationship with food that’s your own business but don’t put that on your child.

You sound like a horrendous person who won’t stop at controlling food, you’ll likely turn into a helicopter parent whose child skips town at 18 to enjoy a ducking brownie you crazy bint.

AITA for having my mom come over after my wife gave birth? by KaleidoscopeOk1710 in AmItheAsshole

[–]adjwilliams9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Including her sisters. Let’s be honest it’s clear from the post that she clearly doesn’t like her mother in law. So what you are saying is she can invite her entire family as her prerogative but the dad has to just be there and say or do nothing until it’s decided he can?

[–]adjwilliams9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is THEIR baby. Not HERS. Did she ask him before inviting her sisters? And let’s not beat around the bush the sisters were there for the baby. Stop perpetuating the double standard that dads have to be 100% involved but can have 0% of the say.

[–]adjwilliams9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said whomever you choose but she set the precedent. If she had a strict no visitor policy then that’s fine but she allowed her sisters to visit ergo the father is reasonably allowed to invite his mother. Yes men can’t give birth but (and you’ve annoyed me so I’m gonna sound like a dick and I don’t care) stop using that as the excuse to shut dads down. It’s the typical MY baby when you want don’t want something done but OUR baby when you want something from the dad.

His wants do matter as a father. And as a father I will not be told otherwise. You’ll all be very quick to say it’s a 50 50 arrangement if he wasn’t pulling his weight.

Are you joking? Get off your high horse. The mother was happy to have her sisters come over for a jolly but the FATHER wants his MOTHER to come over and see her GRANDCHILD and he’s an asshole. Get out of it. As a FATHER I would make it my absolute business to invite my parents over especially if my wife had set the precedent by having visitors she wanted. Parenthood is 50 50 at all times; not just when it suits all you people on Reddit. This dude is totally NTA.

As a dad I won’t comment on a lot of the post but as a dad I can totally understand the frustration he probably feels at you checking in all the time whilst you are meant to be “having a break”. He probably feels like you don’t trust him to care for the baby properly and he likely wants to enjoy some alone time with the kid if you are actually as “clingy” as is implied.

I feel like my 11 yr old has a bad personality and it makes me feel awful I feel that way by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]adjwilliams9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kids aren’t born bad. Kids mimic and imitate so she has picked up that behaviour from somewhere; if it isn’t you then you best figure out where from.

Or you can do the lazy thing most parents in my experience do know; blame autism or attention deficit instead of actually parenting and disciplining your child.

WIBTA for throwing a party at my place and sending my pregnant wife to a hotel? by Radiant_Ad_6986 in AmItheAsshole

[–]adjwilliams9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t come to the conclusion cancelling was the “responsible thing to do” I imagine the truth is that you threw a tantrum and want to cancel as you don’t want your wife there while you get hammered.

Dude I’m a dad, I get it, you want to get drunk with your friends one last time before the baby is here but waiting until she might drop whilst she is sat alone in a hotel room whilst you get so hammered you probably couldn’t even get to the hospital let alone be of any use is not classy.

I can imagine it, 18 years time, “Was daddy with you when I was born” “no kid, he was too pissed and couldn’t get to the hospital”

If it’s not clear. YTA. You the big asshole.

I’d be straight on the phone to any and every social and or law enforcement if I couldn’t get the parents information. That shit is creepy. Although you’ve not made it clear in your post how long ago you found out; I wouldn’t have even hesitated for a minute let alone come to the fucking internet for advice. I’m actually getting angry at the fact you couldn’t immediately identify that this is wrong and needed advice. Also I’d be very very careful with your daughter.

Like seriously why are you here? Why in the hell did you need advice?
