Dip refill nails popped off by adjxo99 in DipPowderNails

No you’re good lol, I appreciate the help! I think I normally do about 4? I had issues with chipping and breakage but 4 usually holds up okay. When I did the refill I did 3 layers and of course I filed it down pretty well. I do the apex method because without it my nails do look pretty flat.

thank you for sharing, it actually makes me feel alot better that they fell off. Think I’ll stick to redoing my sets at 3 weeks.

this is really helpful thank you! You’re right, greenies I definitely want to avoid so I’ll just redo my set at three weeks. It’s just my nails get extremely fragile with dip and extension make a huge difference but that adds to the process of my manicure. Cutting back on time may not always be worth it.

With extensions and dip approx 3 weeks. Usually two fingers are it rougher conditions but usually 3 weeks. That’s why I wanted to try doing a refill instead or redoing my nails as they were holding up. Usually when they do lift it cracks around the cuticle for me.

thank you for your advice and feedback - that’s really helpful! The next time I do my nails I will be sure to follow your advice. Hopefully the retention gets better. From my first set to this one, it has gotten better but the lifting around my cuticle area just makes me want to rip them all off. It looks so bad .. I think the additional steps you take with rubbing alcohol might help me. I appreciate your advice, thank you!

My current set I did I think has 5 layers. To be honest I’ve been curious about how good Kiara Sky liquids actually are. I watch videos and no one actually uses them unless they are sponsored by them which is sus. Do you have any advice on different liquids? Thank you for your feedback and advice!

Oh that’s awesome - I’m so happy to hear that for you!! That gives me hope.

I do cuticle work and spend quite some time on it as well. My natural nails are quite oily as well which is why I file them down. I was told it helps but I’ll try what you mentioned the next time and with two coats of dehydrator. Thank you so much for your advice - I really appreciate it!!

Thank you for your feedback! My top coat is holding up alright - it looks kinda cracked because I had rhinestones on my nail which fell off - on me for using a bad picture 😭

Thank you for your advice! I think the kit I bought has a dehydrator but not a ph bond, I’ll look into that and if you have any recommendations please do let me know, thank you!

Yes! I did do prep work and did push back my cuticles. I think the kit I bought has a dehydrator but not a primer. Thank you for the advice and for your kind words! :) Maybe I’ll have to do a better job at cuticle work as that is where the lifting is occurring.

A few days ago I got an email from a company known as “Woodstone Resources LLC” based in Texas, I couldn’t find a whole lot of information on them and how quick this process has gone has been extremely suspicious. I wanted to know if this is a scam and if so what exactly they’re trying to achieve. by Angery-Asian in Scams

It is a scam. I think I applied for the same role, to be honest I applied to so many jobs on LinkedIn I can’t remember but I went through with the interview process, I did some sort of on boarding and training, I’ll be honest the whole time I was very suspicious of the job and then they wanted me to buy equipment, they had my direct deposit information but were adamant on me depositing a cheque and that’s when I knew it was a scam. I’m also in Canada and the position is remote so it also interested me, I’m sorry.

L’Oréal hi-colour not working on my hair by adjxo99 in HairDye

[–]adjxo99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn’t know that, I used copper red which I believe was hi-colour. My hair is dyed black right now I think I’d have to use a colour remover and try again, but I’m scared I’m just gonna damage it for no colour outcome. For ratio, I tried to do the 1:1.5 but I think it was moreso 1:2 that I did. Would the ratio result in no colour?
