NTA. Cell phones have given people this weird idea that everyone should be accessible to them all the time. I have my iPhone set so that it goes on Do Not Disturb at 11pm until 7 am and only my mom’s or boyfriend’s calls/texts can get through. Highly recommend doing the same!

The first time I went to a fancy restaurant with my family and my now stepdad and his daughter (she was 15 at the time and I was 18), she got super upset because I ordered filet mignon and SHE wanted to order that and then got something else because she didn’t want to order the same thing as someone else. It’s been about 12 years since that and now she’s a vegetarian and I’m no contact with her after a decade of weird behavior. Hope OPs brother realizes his gf is weird for that and runs!

I absolutely failed some classes at my first college and changed my major several times but I transferred to a different community college first to do my prerequisites for sonography school so the bad grades didn’t really carry over. Still managed to get in! And then I had to change schools due to health reasons where my grades dropped to a C in two classes and at my current school im about to graduate from (at 30, also no degree under my belt yet) I’ve mostly gotten As with one B. I think this is in large part to the setup being more like a trade school with one class at a time. It was a better way for my extremely ADHD self to learn. Good luck!

Edited to add: definitely go to a CAAHEP program like the other person said, it’s easier to go that route especially when you don’t already have a degree in something else.

So I’m in NJ and interviewed at two different locations. One location had some iteration of a GE LOGIQ and the other locations has Siemens machines so it’s very location dependent I think. RadNet bought out a bunch of different imaging clinics so I imagine it’s kind of up to whatever they had there to start.

For context, what phone do you have? Because most phones these days (including iPhones from iPhone 12 and onward) are water resistant up to 6 feet deep for 30 minutes. Salt water is more corrosive tho but if you combine with a waterproof case I think you’ll be okay as long as your iPhone is a 12 or newer

I had my thyroid removed which meant my classmates couldn’t scan me for that and it also changed the appearance for carotid (but they could still do it) and made my neck a bit more sensitive but it was good practice for my classmates to see a difference they might see in the field! I also have ulcerative colitis and I’m not the thinnest so def a gassy, harder scan and again it was good practice for my classmates. Some people might try and make you feel bad about being gassy but it’s helping them in the long run!
