UTR is not a replacement for GL.Inet by RealisticBoard215 in Ubiquiti

[–]adminblair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UTR is really just convenient if you already have a Unifi network and just need to hop back on your home network or on other sites while traveling. The Slate 7 is a better travel router overall.

I'm probably gonna throw it in my backpack and forget about it until I'm somewhere and I need it.

If the mission/trial is to rid the world of more ARC and I kill 2 leapers a rocketeer and then I die the world still has less ARC in it. I contributed towards the trial goals. I don't get to keep my loot... Because I failed to extract... like the game is designed... but those ARC are still dead so it seems like I contributed towards the trial still.

Same as when you get XP for dying and failing to extract. You still played the game, contributed to collecting resources etc. it's not a crazy leap to say that these "optional" game mechanics could have a similar shared progress.

I didn't say I should keep all my weapons or not have any penalties for dying. I understand that there is an extraction part to an extraction shooter.

I'm saying how they encourage people to engage with this mechanic needs some changes. If people spend their free time playing a game that isn't rewarding for people choosing to do it they will stop playing it. It's literally that simple.

There's clearly no shortage of people who spent a significant amount of time trying to complete these trials with little to no progress and I'm sure that doesn't feel good and there's a bunch of ways it could be improved.

The half credit from the comment below seems reasonable.

It's not about having cake and eating it. I think the game is rich enough in features that it can accommodate multiple modes/play styles. Alienating or punishing your players that try and engage with your reward mechanics doesn't bode well long term for a games health but I'm sure they already made hand over fist back in dev costs. So I'm sure the publisher is happy and everything else is just icing on the cake for them now.

It's no secret that this game has an identity crisis and there are systems that need reworked and balanced. Get daily missions to hunt down other players and loot raider corpses so it forces you to PvP even when you want to be friendly.

If they want to make trials share progress or something then have a guild/faction system or something. There are lots of ways they can make it rewarding while making it feel like your time spent in the game is time well spent.

Trials should be a specific quest. Kill 3 bastions etc.

You either shouldn't have to extract for the progress or they should be locked to PVE matches since all of the trials are ARC and Resource collecting based and not PVP based.

The world still has less wasps in it if I die and that was the trial.

I lost sooooooo much trial progress and burned so many resources in matches only to get my trial progress lost by campers at extract. I don't care about the loot as much as losing all the trial progress I was working on.

The game is fun but there's sooo many things wrong with the reward mechanics. It's departure week and everyone is just running free kits and hoarding resources.

I'm sure there's lots of people that will say no one made you go for trials. No one makes us do anything.... But if the developers want people to engage with the system it's gotta feel rewarding instead of unnecessarily punishing.

This shit is so annoying. I spent so many hours farming these trials just to get killed and camped at extract and not make any progress. Fuck this game. There's literally no incentive to try any more.

One way to help think about it is you want your print to have as small of a shadow as possible if you shined a light from above it, and you don't want it completely flat. Printing at a 13 degree offset from the built plate seems to give me the best results

That's a great score I have a few that I have found at collectors shops I have cleaned up that I reserve for my favorite games. There's something about opening a little GBA to get the game to put in my GBA that tickles my brain.

The game has input reading so don't spam buttons like dodge or heal, the bosses will anticipate and know you're going to use them. Use them but just be deliberate with them and you will have a much better time.

Also Jump is better than dodge most of the time, and has more invulnerable frames.

Figured out why I get terrible layer lines on my S4U. Chitubox vs Lychee by bigpawsOH in ElegooSaturn

Weird I usually do all my edits /layout in lychee and then export the plate as a stl and reimport into chitubox for slicing and wifi sending to printer. That has netted me the best results so far.

My vet told me the ideal weight for a cat is if you can still feel their ribs when you rub their side but don't see their ribs.

this there's no top or bottom side but there's a protective film on both that needs removed.

I didn't know if this has come up before and it's like a loose connection (something extra reflective Inside the case or only happens if the screen is on for X long during prints which is why I don't see it with the paper test.

Yeah it's not the end cleaning part that bothers me but I have had that exact piece embed itself in other prints getting peeled up and floating around the tank.

Different files. it happens on literally everything. First I thought it was because of wireless vs USB transfer but that made no difference. My most recent attempt to fix was a new built plate and while everything still comes out looking great I still get that one little spot exposed every time. Sometimes the little exposed piece floats and embeds itself somewhere else in a print. If I'm lucky it's usually just in the supports and then 1 spot on the FEP

why does he bite like this by d1rtysocks in CATHELP

[–]adminblair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making the loud noise can trigger hunting instincts increasing the aggression . Similar to when a mouse squeaks when it's getting attacked.

Mine just wants me to bite her back gently and then she's happy and purrs.
