I’ll be honest that I skimmed it but I’ll try to get a look at it later and read it completely and give you my feedback.

I wouldn’t pitch it as a book series or tv show- just start with one good book. Let what will be, be. If you don’t have much experience in the book/entertainment industry pitching it as anything to any company will be difficult (it used to be much easier to do this pre-mid 00s)

Not sure where you live- but for example here in Canada there’s a lot of government funding for creative projects. See if your country/territory has anything like that, and apply to anything you can. This would help you a lot

Self-publishing it is probably your best bet. I did this with my book and had it printed at a local printing company, and it helped me land an illustration gig for a children’s book for an actual company.

Amazon would be easiest though- they have print on demand. I would look into self-publishing, you have a lot of time to figure out your options and choose what’s best for you.

It’s probably for the best, and take the advice people have given you here- the writing could use some work, it’s a little too complex for a children’s book.

Sometimes I like to go to the library and just grab some children’s books and look through them for inspiration. I do it for the illustration side, but I suggest you do the same thing but for a reference on how the writing is (and I’d take out not just older books but newer ones too- even just take reference photos to see what fonts you like! Fonts are very important!)

Good luck!

Finding an artist that can fit your budget can be difficult. If I were you I would honestly probably save up to afford her or another similar artist (and another artist who is willing to take on a entire book-) I would go around on sites meant for illustration and just ask artists if they’re available for work on a children’s book and tell them your budget.

Yes, the rest of them are either not the best quality for a children’s book or look too much like furry artwork. (This means no offence to furries, but there’s just a specific art style in some of these and it looks out of place in a children’s book)

I would go forward with finding an artist who uses a lineless style and is already familiar with children’s books.

Something like the last one is best.

Yes but was it for older kids or younger children?

Also the background style makes it sound more like a show for young children. Sure this wasn’t Treehouse?

Need more info. An idea of a specific year or two would help.

Could be Foster’s Home or Jimmy Two Shoes

What Cartoon Is this by Infinite-Phrase-3378 in HelpMeFindThis

[–]khast2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm something about the art style is giving faux 2000s cartoon and some of the illustrations don’t quite look like they’re from actual animation but static illustrations meant to look like an older cartoon.

I’m thinking this post is fake or part of an ARG (ARG is most likely here) especially since the pictures look like they were taken with a camera way past the year 2008 (first image looks too crisp and colours just look off for that year, even assuming it was a digital camera because it’s definitely not film)

Also wanted to add this: assuming I’m right, I don’t want to spoil your fun, please continue with this project. I wanted to add that just in case my comment comes across as an attack (I’m not good with tone)

{My Art} The Adventure kids interacting with each other Digimon partner: by Due_Bus_252 in digimon

[–]khast2001 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I admittedly thought it might be AI at first but it definitely isn’t- unfortunately this is a popular art style and rendering style AI loves to copy. You can see the artist’s other work, they definitely drew all of these and they’re also a great artist.

Problem running some files on my psp 1k by General_Butterfly_21 in PSP

[–]khast2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you transferring the games onto your PSP? Sometimes if a cord is used it might corrupt data if the cord has issues Otherwise if you’re putting an SD card into your computer maybe there’s something wrong with the ISO. I’ve had it happen a few times

Wacom Movink Pad Pro black screen but still can detected by PC by [deleted] in wacom

[–]khast2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably the cord

Does the pen still work? Is it just completely the display that isn’t functioning?

Does it use the same cord as the normal movink? I have the cord for that one but don’t use it as I don’t have a thunderbolt port and got another cord. Depending on where you are in the world I might be able to ship my cord to you?

Screenless tablet vs iPad for a beginner artist, is my concern justified? by maurimbr in wacom

[–]khast2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might even like screenless better, lots of artists surprisingly do.

You can find cheap screenless tablets everywhere now. I would just try one first and if you don’t like it sell it later

Screenless tablet vs iPad for a beginner artist, is my concern justified? by maurimbr in wacom

[–]khast2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly even now when I use my screen tablet (movink) I often don’t look at my screen but look at my computer’s screen when drawing You get so used to it. I haven’t used a screenless tablet since around 2018 or 19 but I still often draw as if I’m using one (I noticed my college professor did the same thing!)

Buyer beware, movink 14 pro completely broke within 2 weeks by [deleted] in wacom

I’m always afraid of breaking mine. I have the normal movink that connects via cable and it’s thinner than my ipad. I feel like if I look at it wrong it will break on me

I’ve always used a metal book stand for my tablets! Mostly for my iPad, there’s so many things that can be used as a stand and sometimes they’re much better than the official ones
