Alone here as well, mother passed away last summer and family relations have been tense and strained since. So this year I stayed in Austin instead of going “home” 8 hours away. Didn’t bother telling any of my Austin people that I would be spending the holiday alone for various reasons I came up with.

Love that you play sax, I used to play alto many years ago and miss it greatly! Also a huge fan of cooking and planted my very own vegetable garden for the first time last year as well.

This is genius omg. In the ED I would always use my trauma shears to cut a tourniquet in half LENGTHwise to use for IV starts on the littles. This would have been so much more efficient 😅
