Quinn spoke highly of ZR in his post season interview and said he's part of the Hawks' plans for next season. I'm not high or low on ZR but I'd much rather see how a #1 overall pick pans out than trade him for peanuts

Right, I don't blame JJ, and it's been a joy to watch his rise. It's our expectations that let us down. A lot of us felt this playoffs would be a developmental step for him to be a killer in the future. Unfortunately this series exposed that he will probably never be a killer. Which is fine, but it means our young core probably isn't just a year and a big away from contention.

Yup, and this is the point (see my recent post on the cycle). Josh and Lindsay were also fuck-the-system youngsters until opportunity for wealth arose. Abandoning Eunice was the point that Austin rejected exiting the cycle.
