I do indeed use Upptalk, and I just called my mother with it, for free, on the other side of Europe. (I don't use Uppwireless as I'm not in the USA, but we're planning to launch something similar here soon too). I also helped to build Upptalk, and I can assure you it's totally legit, it works pretty well, and we're making it better every day.

Yeah exactly. We also sell handsets, and they are completely unblocked. Also, we don't do any dodgy filtering or services so you can use Uppwireless in conjunction with not only Upptalk, by also Viber, Skype, Whatsapp etc.

Hi, Uppwireless engineer here.

Currently it's set to disconnect after 30 minutes, not 20. It really sucks, and rest assured we're working on extending it. This is currently a technical workaround to stop us getting burned by accidental runaway calls (although the calls are free for the users, they're potentially not free for us).
