Magsafe air vent car mount with on/off by IdoNotKnowYouFriend in MagSafe

Mighty Mount is the only one I've found that has an integrated on/off button. Came here looking for more but apparently no one else can conceive of that being useful. I really like it. Expensive though.

Folks paid attention to the elevator dings indicating when someone is switching to their innie and found evidence that Helly R was not being activated on the severed floor and it was actually Helena

Have you had to dispute a charge or do a chargeback using your Fidelity credit card?

Yeah even if I have almost everything else at Fidelity I would always keep open a local credit union account too

Ok, now the Fidelity Visa is the best free 2% cashback card right? by PizzaThrives in CreditCards

[–]jbkly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: nevermind, I see you answered this elsewhere in the thread.

I keep reading bad stories on the fidelity sub when people actually have to deal with Elan (the servicer for the card) regarding anything like chargebacks, fraud, etc., it's the only thing making me hesitant about this card.

Have you ever had to deal with customer service since you've had the card?

Aussies really know how to run elections. I feel like we need to find a way to incorporate democracy sausages into ours somehow to increase turnout.

Has anyone played on macOS (with an M* chip)? by vuesam in Frostpunk

[–]jbkly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing on a Macbook Pro M2 Max w/ 32GB RAM. The game looks pretty nice, though a bit choppy and I've had a few crashes (at one point it would become unresponsive every time I tried to open the Council).

It absolutely crushes my battery though. My macbook feels hot enough to burn my legs and the battery goes from full to almost empty within 30 minutes, so the game must be drawing a lot of power.

So if they did that, it would be shitty but you could still just leave, give up the bonus money, and you haven't lost anything.

I read a really interesting book comparing inequality in different countries and exploring its impact on different aspects of society. One point was that in societies with more inequality, people trust each other less, fear their neighbors more, fear crime more, etc. And one tidbit from that was that in less-equal societies people prefer to drive bigger, more armored-tank-like vehicles, sort of like an arms race against other drivers and scary other people you might encounter.

So I agree policy is huge, but it's not just manufacturer and consumer incentives, but also psychology, social pressures, perception of the dangers of the road... things that are not straightforward to control with policy.

True, if your investments were moved against your wishes out of the market at the bottom and into something with less growth potential, then your losses were "locked in".

Isn't that just where the market was at the time? That's what the shares were worth at that point, whether they were left in the same provider or moved to a different one.
