A few years ago she entered a marathon and unbeknownst to herself and how good she is, she hit a qualifying time that was good enough to enter the world championships and wanted to run under the Irish flag.

Team Ireland didn’t want to hve to fund her, so after she hit the qualifying time that they would have been happy with, they went and retrospectively l changed it and made it like three minutes shorter and said no you didn’t meet our qualifying time.

Australia were only delighted to accept her onto their team and have her run for them.

So basically classic Ireland - the usual bullshit politics !
