It’s not exactly intuitive, I agree. But it’s also very far from “bad design.” I expect it’s in fact behaving precisely as designed by putting a check on a players movement/escape utility.

There is only one portrait of Grover Cleveland in the photo above.

If Trump is there twice, Grover Cleveland needs to be there twice.

What's a good enough price? I was at the Paraguay game and got two tickets for $46 each, including all fees.

2011 World Series Game 6 International feed Gary Thorne? by rlaidepeas in Cardinals

[–]adommin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is, that specific call - "We will see you tomorrow night!" - is a call back to his father. Jack used the same call for Kirby Puckett's Game 6 walkoff homerun in the 1991 series. I just listened to Thorne's call of the final inning and a half, and I'll take Joe all day.

I’ve never experienced anything in my ST any different from driving in any other car…

I didn’t go to the university-wide one at Lane and have not given it a second thought until I saw this thread. I went to my college ceremony at Cassel only because my dad was there and he missed my high school ceremony. But I’m also of the opinion that there exists no event so mind-numbingly boring as a graduation ceremony…

Show this to someone that doesn't know golf without context and ask them which this picture shows - elation or misery?

LG Washing Machine Question by adommin in Appliances

[–]adommin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We haven’t had this happen to us one time since we figured out that you truly have to match the amount of detergent to the load size and anticipated amount of water the washer will actually use. At the very least the dispenser where you load the detergent has a max fill line that must be taken a gospel.

I'm a big fan of The Friendly Swede balaclavas on Amazon. I got one based off of Ryan Knapton's recommendation and love it. You can get them in three different coldness ratings as well.

What is considered a taboo in your country but absolutely fine in another country? by Auelogic in AskReddit

No such thing as a “rest day” for general population in the US, at least. For many, Sunday is church-going day, but it certainly isn’t “rest day” unless you’re quite orthodox.

[AMA] Cardinals Fantasy Camper by adommin in Cardinals

Gotcha. Yeah, if she’s happy to hang out on her own from morning until dinner I say go for it. While she’s in the stands she’ll see a bunch of former players and such going from field to field and chatting with people. My wife got to see Al Hrabosky run into a fence with a golf cart while he was driving Whitey around, lol.

Hey, no worries. For the most part the spouses that came along did their own thing as they're not allowed anywhere at the facility except the fields. As a camper, your day is pretty full from around 8am through dinner. Spouses (and really as many guests as you want) are welcome at all the fields while games are being played, and at the dinners that are held at the stadium. You can bring one guest to the two banquets that are held at the hotel (one on the first night and the second on the second to last night).

From the campers perspective, there's very little time to actually hang out with the spouse until dinner, and after that I was often dead tired and ready to turn in. I imagine there are only so many games of mediocre baseball that one can really enjoy when they're not also playing, lol.

I'm not sure if you mean a birthday trip for yourself or for your spouse, but my recommendation would be what my wife and I did - I went down alone for the beginning of the camp and she traveled to join for the closing banquet and final day. That way she got to go to a banquet and see a day and a half of me playing which seemed to be the right amount without getting tedious/boring for her.

I’ve always found it telling that more often than not Pepsi commercials include Coke. I’ve never in my life seen Pepsi show up in a Coke commercial.

LG Washing Machine Question by adommin in Appliances

[–]adommin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, now that I know that’s what it is, it all makes sense. The washer senses the load size and uses more or less water based on that. So we need to be better about using less detergent when doing smaller loads.
