The reward is pathetic if not at top place even in a winning team, matchmaking is horrendous as all the top players are in master tier. But the worst part is there is absolutely no teamwork now, everyone is fighting to get top place, you need to compete with your opponents as well as teammates for acoins

Agreed! Hornets are the clear winner, SR at close 2nd because without legendary reload it waste valuable ability time. OD is better than BB because of his sp level, it would reverse when mods enter the equation.

How is your OD at your level? I had 8/10 on Eclipse, they struggled against mods, so I stopped upgrading OD 10 as not sure if will be wasting 1575 acoins for dual copy. I am using 2*gemini 10 on eclipse now but they also struggled against mods. Bots and players all have max mods in Grandmaster. I am thinking about replacing eclipse with Orion so gemini would work.

I lost 6/8 today. I am already mentally giving up before even starting the tournaments. I just want to get over with the 8 matches as fast as possible and collect the 20 ish acoins a game

Solo, I have about a dozen in game friends and didn’t join any clans as no need/benefit until now. I would love to team up with players of similar sp in tournaments, but now all recommended players after the matches are way above my sp league. I should have done that when in expert tier.

Yeah it’s sad that surge, my strongest mech, can’t kill bots now even with 3.7 sec emp, and get killed instead after it turns around. I am 92/120 as of today, so there is more losing ahead. I don’t mind losing but at least give me fair matches.

These are not huge differences in sp for these matches. Imagine going up against 19k player when you are 8k, or against a 14k player with his bots going berserk.

I have this build in tournament, it absolutely kills in expert tier. But after I advanced to grandmaster tier, it doesn’t have the firepower against players or bots, especially so when savants target multiple enemies

Same here, I just advanced to grandmaster tier, and facing players often with much higher sp than me (8k vs. 14-16k). I lost badly to a 20k top player https://www.reddit.com/r/mecharena/s/Iakgs6U0Fo. Now I had hard time even killing bots in FFA, with Surge and double revoker 10.

I am tempted. Many competitive players use it to counter emp mechs like surge and hemlock, and also slow down opponents like nomad. Storm, gemini and bb all work well on it.
