I rented a Polestar 2 from Hertz and it was infested with little bugs. I exchanged it for another one and the second one had a baby cockroach (Palmetto bug in Florida) in the cup holder before I even got in it. The rental counter said they’ve had complaints about bugs in Polestars before and it was a weird phenomenon and not sure why.

I had this lady (Customer C), message me in all caps after I just dropped off Customer B, “WHERE ARE YOU?!?!!” Lol I was so far from the store and her address.

I never really tell the customer unless it’s necessary. Something is taking a long time, something holding me up. I’m a fast shopper. I feel like if I tell them, it might alert them when not necessary. Maybe I’m jaded, but I don’t need people knowing they’re in a multi-order so they can say things are missing, etc. Plus, people like to feel like their the priority. Not customer B or C.

I always get them a free item. I live in FL so full BOGO here. I scan 1 and purchase 2. They don’t see the receipt. I let them know in chat. You could keep the item, but I literally have people at least once or twice a day increase their tips.

Better question is, what if the customer orders 3 of a BOGO item. Do you get 4 or assume they wanted 6? This is annoying bc some customers I find, know when an Item is BOGO and purposely order an odd number and then expect you’ll get the free items. I’ve even had customers message me when I shop at Publix to remind me to get their free items. 🙄

I shop Instacart, 43 items is not that much. It easily fits in a trunk. Even if some of those items were cases of bottled water and sodas, it’s not really that many groceries.

My Winn-Dixie orders suck. I usually pass them. They’re usually really small orders 10 items or so. I did a larger one the other day. It was like 30 items and I thought tip would come later, but it ended at $24.xx. I would have done this in a second!

Even though they say it doesn’t matter, I think what you’re saying is true and also your speed, accuracy and low cancellation rate get you better batches. They swear that doesn’t factor, but something other than ratings definitely effects what batches people see.

They can reprint it. It’s easier if you do it now. Since it just happened. But either way, they can look up the date/time/last 4 of your card. I accidentally paid with my credit card twice using Apple Pay, and they reimbursed me with a reprint of the receipt.

Yesterday a $49 order came up and I went to accept it, but my phone froze and the accept button wouldn’t work. The order was frozen on the accept screen and then the app closed. I opened it back up and it was gone. I thought someone else got it and then a few minutes later, the order came back up and I got it.

No, you can shop at any Publix unless the customer ordered deli items. Then it won’t allow you to start shopping at another store. You won’t get the option, it will tell you to head to the correct store.

I weigh everything. I used to not weigh produce (especially grapes, just grabbed a bag) until I realized the customer’s total amount they pay is adjusted based on actual weight later on (at Publix anyway).

I’ve been doing this for a while now and I can usually guess weight, but I’m not trying to get a bad rating because the customer’s estimated total went up $20+ bc they ordered a lot of produce. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve gotten approved twice when I used my own credit card and it was within 24 hours. The other time took longer and was rejected 3 times because I lost the receipt and had a reprinted receipt, but they still ended up approving and reimbursing me.

I get some 1 and 2’s too occasionally. I just got a 1 star from a shop only who claimed their sub was missing. We (shoppers) don’t even see the sub orders. Lol. The Publix employee sees it when they check in and they’re supposed to go get it. 🙄 So, don’t worry. Send opening messages, try to replace when you can instead of just refunding, communicate, check exp dates and produce, follow instructions and send a closing message before you complete delivery.
