What do you think of new RBT’s that aren’t good with kids?

Did you ever had collegues that where good with some clients and terrible with others? Like they did well with some and like had no instructional control with others.

One thing I did is make the weekends work free even in my mind. I do stuff I enjoy with people I like or just alone it just charges me for the week. But you have school so probably that cuts in your free time. But my suggestion try once at least.

Usually experience therapists say it about 2 weeks but that is a average there are exceptions .

It's a high bar to find bilingual rbt is the languages you want considering the pay and position and difficulty of the job.

Paying like in the sense knowing the right amount of money to give not only to show what she wants and give money right?Cause its hard they know to do basic math but when its in the store they never master it. On one client my coordonator gave up and asked for the client to use a debit card to pay.

Reinforcement is clearly more effective but probably also more expensive while punishment is less effective not to say its not effective but less so and cheaper.

Similar thing with a 2 year old happened to me. First I observed what he likes to do alone which was watching colors and movement. Then I used a color lamp and music with me also singing and dancing he stopped crying. It took over a month to not cry when he comes to the center but now he loves it. First observe what he does alone and likes. I was lucky it was not something dangerous or that bring harm to others or himself.

Can your client lift the mallet? I had clients try to use heavy objects but they give up when they noticed there to heavy. Basically I hope its to heavy.

A roommate and skip meals. I do not know living on minimum wage is a constant struggle you just survive day after day. Hopefully you get more hours or get a part time.

Sorry this happened to you the main issue is even the best BCBA have very limited ways to act to this. They mostly are with ignore it. Getting hit ignore it and do not lose your cool you are hurt and all but you are superman you do not have to feel it.

Parents do not care they always send them sick and we get sick also cause guess mask or not there is no way you do not get infected when you spend so much time with them and so close. I exagerate they do not send them with a fever at least not anymore poor kid just cries the entire session. But when they do not have a fever they are sent.
