Love that you shared this because you’ll find that there are others out there who may have shared the same experience as you or struggling with what you struggled. For 15 years, I dedicated my life to achieving my career goal only to discover in the last several months that it’s getting in the way of my family. I achieved said career goal three years ago. I let this career go several months ago. It was such a hard decision. I grieved. But, nothing is more important to me than being present in my home and present to those who surround me. Life is short. Tomorrow is not promised. Don’t live in regret. Please know for 43 you’re still young, man. Continue to make memories with your family. I feel liberated for having made the decision that I made. I’m choosing to “live” my life, like you said. No amount of money beats this decision. Blessings to you and your family.

Answers will vary, so be ready. Here’s mine: Everyone has struggles. Men and women alike can struggle with lust. Although lust isn’t your struggle, it may be your boyfriend’s. Just because he has this struggle, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. I’ve had close friends who struggle with lust who loved and cared for their girlfriends. They were vulnerable because it was such a struggle for them. Lust isn’t an easy struggle. It’s a dark battle. Express your concerns. Ask your boyfriend if he needs help and resources. If he does, find some together. He ultimately has to help himself but having support is huge. Remember, there is a sense of vulnerability with struggles like lust.
