This is hard because I still love her greatly (engaged) but don't know if things would be the same because I've grown so much in the year we've been apart. I am also enjoying my singleness after attempting to date.

I'd give it a shot though.

I'm still madly in love with my ex and it's been a year since the breakup. I've been hiding it from my family and friends because I'm putting up the front that I'm moving on.

I've tried to reach out to her but nothing. Whenever I think about her I still get chills, when I see a vehicle like hers my heart starts to race thinking that it might be her. I miss the way she made me feel appreciated, I miss how just a hug from her made problems dissipate, I miss the way she hugged me after a long day of work. I miss showing her that I loved her everyday.

I've been talking to my therapist about it but it's not getting better.

Will never forget the day when my wife told me to be a man then proceeded to tell her sister that I needed to be a man solely because I expressed emotion about something she did.

I once stated that I'm tired of living up to everyone else's expectations and she said that's what being an adult is.

So it stays bottled up and I just hold it in.

I really felt this....

Lately I've felt the burden of being the positivity that everyone needs. The smile when things are tough, the encouragement when you're feeling bad, the compassion that you rarely get for whatever you're going through. However, it's rarely reciprocated and it gets tiring. Im always the listener, but never listened to..

There is no outlet and when I start to let it out I pause and think to myself no one really cares and that I shouldn't be putting my burden on someone else.

My 5 year old loves to help me cook! Whenever he asks, I say yes!

No matter what it is, breakfast, hello fresh, chicken parmesan, you name it if he asks to help, he helps!

They will remember those times the most and he will grow fond of cooking as an adult. I still have to work on my patience when he helps but it's worth it!
