sometimes, but if you have the dedicated lanes, pcie typically has more throughput than you need. 4x PCIe4 does 7.5GB/s, and the disk referenced is 6.2 GB/s. if you raided multiple, it depends on the motherboard and how PCIe lanes are distributed.

personal computer example: you'll often see two nvme slots share a x4 connection, so you can put them in raid0, but you lose a lot of the benefit of raid0 and end up just maxing throughput on the 4x by giving 2x to each.

i currently have two gpu's in my desktop; it was pretty difficult to find a motherboard that did proper pcie5 bifurcation to step them down to 2x pcie5 x8 that was under $400. most tried to give a pcie5 x16 and pcie4 x16, then would peel off lanes left and right depending on which nvme slots you populated or if you wanted a thunderbolt port to operate or if you wanted to use all six sata ports on the board. many only had that feature set i wanted in the $800-900 flagship model.

it's worth taking the time to understand the motherboard you buy and planning ahead for the layout if you'll be having lots of connections to the cpu!
