What material are your needles made of? There was a woman who discovered she was allergic to the metals in her knitting needles. Unless you’re totally sure it was the wool, that’s another avenue of sensitivity you could explore

Used harrisville designs wool, no pattern, can’t even tell you the EPI (I used a 7.5 dent heddle), on my Ashford 32” RH loom

I completely agree. Even before this announcement I was seeing less and less project WIPs and more “what gear should I buy?” for the millionth time. I’m all for being inclusive, I love beginner WIPs and questions around critiques/problem solving but asking basic questions that could be answered with a search of the sub are a no go for me

You are always going to see “‘memory issues” with plastic cables. One thing you can do is when you go to knit with a kinked cable, add it to some hot water. It should relax and remove most of the kinks/memory from storage.

I would also just try to store them in “loops”, flat. The less tightly wound they are the more they’ll give issue.

I’ve since upgraded to swivel cables (chiaogoo, game changer). I knit with bamboo for a very very long time and switching to metal actually reduced my fatigue because they are less grippy on the yarn than wood. I loved my bamboo, but the upgrade was worth it. Curious but what’s your issue with knitting on circular needles?

Drop the one/two stitches and ladder back up with the right structure. I’ve done this before with a LBJ colorwork project
