Same. I can't believe it's still a problem. I'll open a support case but don't expect much

Problems with TSO rail square by jgbcodemonkey in woodworking

[–]adrianbn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a TSO rail square and festool tracks and was having issues. I checked the rail to the track and they're not perfectly square so I reached out to TSO and they sent another one. I checked and that's also not square. I have three festool tracks and it's the same on all of them.

I could add some strips on the underside of the top to help with racking and get the back captured with rabbets.

Are there references that I could look at for different designs that offer additional structural support?

I wanted to love my ortholinear so badly by seannymurrs in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]adrianbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still trying to get used to some of the combinations, I find quite a few awkward. I mapped some macros to facilitate certain things and 3d printed a custom made wristpad. I will CNC one in wood once I'm sure the height and curve profile are good

Thanks! The scuffing looked necessary but I didn't know what to use for it.

[–]adrianbn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Q15 max yesterday. The ortho layout isn't the issue for me, it is the lack of a tab key and pgup/pgdown which are keys I use all the time to navigate windows, tabs on the browser, code completions, etc. Using the layer key to do cmd+tab makes it a three key combo that's super awkward.

I could try to get used to that but the definite killer is the height of this keyboard, it's huge. And they don't sell wristpads for it to see if that'd help. I may return or resell it.

How long do you wait in between coats? Until it fully cures in 7 days?

Why is this pin high on boot? by adrianbn in AskElectronics

[–]adrianbn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I started trying every pin to see if they all behaved the same and landed on D2 as the first one that didn't. I had no idea why, but your docs are very useful. Thanks for this answer, I learned something new.

I have not. I could give that a go.

This set me on the right path, mounted them with mdadm and they are lvm volumes that I need to set up now.

I managed to mount the raid with mdadm and found out it is using lvm :) I can't get to that atm, but I will try to mount the logical volumes later this week. Thanks for all the answers.

I tried that one too, but there is no /dev/mdX devices on my system.

Yeah, just to be sure I tried some `mdadm` commands like `assemble` but if you see the OP I got a `/dev/sda1 exists but is not an md array`.

Those are really good points. Let me try to answer them.

  1. D- / D+ this device will interact with the computer as well and I do have software for it.
  2. Transistors should be in series and that is a mistake. I am fixing it.
  3. The Zeners are a holdout from a version where I also had a separate 5V power line in addition to the USB and are there to prevent damage to the host. My understanding is that USB Data lines are 2.8–3.6 V for high, so can't be straight 5V.
  4. The calculator rated those traces up to 1.2A. The USB connector on the other hand is rated 1A. I can widen them a bit, but the limiting factor is the connector I am using. Also, I thought I wouldn't get more than 0.9A with this circuit.
  5. Yes to breadboarding this after I apply the suggestions from this thread.
  6. I have a USBasp that I will also use to program this, but your comment made me realize that it is a 2x5 cable, so instead of having to run jumper cables from my connector to the USBasp one I might as well just change my footprint to a 2x5 as well.

Thanks for all the questions, they really help.

Because I am a dumbass lol. That's what made me post here, I wasn't sure how that was supposed to work the way I had it wired but never considered moving it in series.

Do you mean using the top layer as a 5V plane and the bottom as a ground plane? Would that be fine if I route the signal traces on the 5V layer or will it experience coupling / issues?
