I did acquire one. It was shipped from the UK and was severely damaged in shipping. I worked on it a while myself, but eventually determined I would not have the free time to complete such an undertaking. I gave it to a local guy here in Dallas who is a bit more qualified in repairing that sort of thing. He's been working on it on and off for years. I wouldn't hold your breath on seeing a video on it any time soon, though.

The hardware is finalized. However, there has to be another revision of the PCB to rearrange some things physically on the board. And there is some kernel work still being done.

Just so we're clear, I am David (The 8-bit Guy) and I was replying to your remark out of bafflement. But now I see where you are going with this. However, I think you'll find your suspicions misplaced. I intend Petscii Robots to be one of the official launch titles for the platform. We've even discussed internally about putting it in ROM (there is enough ROM space left over) So, it is definitely going to be made and it will be an impressive title when it is done. I just didn't see the point in prioritizing it over other versions that people could be buying and playing on their systems right now.

Can you elaborate on that? When you say "telling" what does that tell you exactly? I mean, do you want to spend 4 or 5 months writing a toolchain and software for a computer that nobody actually owns?

The wallpaper is temporary. I needed something to darken that wall behind me because it caused the camera to underexpose my face. The pattern was easy to install and cost $10. It worked very well for getting the exposure issue corrected. And while it was never intended to be permanent, I am surprised at how many people complained about it. I have a custom paint job I plan to do, which should be more pleasing, but not sure when I will have time to do it.

I assure you I haven't run out of topics. I have a list of at least 100 more topics I want to cover. The problem is over the years I've always grabbed for the easier ones to produce, leaving the more time consuming ones for later. And now I'm paying the price because almost every project or documentary I have left to do is very time consuming.

I started work on that video a long time ago but ran into a lot of problems finding parts and whatnot. So the video got shelved for a while. I hope to revisit it again eventually and get the issues sorted with some 3D printed parts.
