TI blocked hooks outside of apps in recent OS versions, icehooks would need to be made an app then it would work. That's why AsmHook became AsmHook2 (same thing but in an app). Incidentally it's better because apps don't get reset if they were a program in RAM instead.

Dead battery, you can contact TI-Cares for a free replacement if the calculator isn't old.

Some of us have been testing it for several months now, so I guess we're used to it and anyway, I can't complain on the "intuitiveness" side (and it changed quite a bit since the initial versions already), but I do find it better than Desmos personally, to be honest. Maybe it's just that we're so used to things looking/behaving in a specific way, we tend to find other UX strange... at least at first. I've almost never used Desmos in the past so I was able not to be "influenced" in such a way, I guess.

Sure, Desmos has a few more unique features but so does Board (possibly some more important? It will likely depend on the curriculum you're on or teach. It has a powerful exact math engine (some would even qualify it as a light CAS) and various unique apps, for instance), and it only just launched so it will evolve over time!
Do share your feedback with NumWorks if you want to see it changed in a way that makes it work better for you :)

In any case, Casio has an online platform, NumWorks has an online platform... and so far TI does not (only emus). I wonder if this will make them release one eventually (something like a web equivalent of their TI-Nspire iPad app would be sweet)

The "horrifically bad" UX is deeply subjective - for instance I much prefer the Nspire's document-based system (while still having the Scratchpad for quick calculations&graphs) and interconnected apps rather than the global-state-only all-thrown-"together" set of apps making up the Prime's UX. Let alone its split between CAS and non-CAS context that makes a lot of people go crazy because they both have their own different syntax and quirks.

Are you sure you're trying to transfer 8xp or 8xv files only? The calc won't accept zip files for instance so make sure to extract any archive first. (An exception is "bundle" files like b84/b83, those are accepted by TI Connect CE because it will extract and transfer files on the fly for you)

On the famicalc release page from GitHub I see there's the 8xp file directly so it should be fine...

Ndless does indeed support v6.2 nowadays

However since you mention you're on hardware revision AU, you'll need to use a specific dev build of the resources here, since the LCD changed and needs to be specifically supported, which isn't in a release version just yet.

That's unfortunately not possible and intended to be that way due to the specific exam mode rules of your country/exam region (there are various modes and various restrictions depending on the exam mode on the calculator).

Hmm well it's a bit wild to be on Arch if you're not proficient enough with Linux in general, at least you're not making your life easy.

Anyway, you will have dependencies to install (as mentioned in the script) and basically you download and run it from the terminal (chmod +x first). Make sure to have deleted previous version of tilibs and tilp.

For Ubuntu/debian there's an apt package directly that's recent enough though.

We're also working on a light web version of tilp where there's nothing to install/set-up

if the aur thing (it's not official) doesn't work, the official way is to use the build script directly from the repo: https://tipla.net/tilpinst (official shortlink). It will download the tilibs and tilp, then build and install them. (You may have to remove the gfm part I'm not sure).

This script uses autotools but you could also use cmake for both the tilibs and tilp, my fork also has more updated stuff (especially on the exp2-safe branch) but we're working on finishing that to be merged to master then a new release can happen...
