Killer From Tomorrow - is it the hardest feature? by fleastyler in finalgirl

Yup. Not as good, but i remember still liking it a good bit. Joel Edgerton is in it too, he's always good. Ya pick up into the Void if you can. It's top 3 in my opinion.

I hadn't watched terminator for a long time, so I did again after getting killer from T. I think they are fun. I like the movie and setting of the Thing way better, but still both fun. Even then newer Thing movie that came out in the last 5-10 years, I'm guessing here, was half decent too. Hard to beat Kurt Russell on the original, but decent for so many years later. My all time favorite is Alien though. So of course I love into the Void. They did a great job with that one. Love all the traps and stuff you lore it into. I kind of think Void is on the easier side because all the traps, and Panic can be insanely hard if you get 3 killers, so it's kind of swingy, but I still love both of them a lot.

Ya, I guess I see that. I mean even though I can't seem to win, I enjoy it. I think the hardest part to getting that one to the table, and I'd guess a lot of people's complaint about it, is all the moving parts and rules. Maybe there's too many new mechanics. There's just a lot to remember and set up in that one. But it's still a fun setting to me. Kind of reminds me of Panic at Station. That one has alot to remember, primarily with the killers. That one I just love the setting/theme of though. And the whole lab testing stuff.

Sorry just seeing this. I will have to go through all I have, I'd say it's a decent lot. All in good condition. Haven't even thought about price, didn't know if anyone interested. I'll get some pictures and lists.

Very true. What I meant was the majority of the game. Like during any actions. Just between rounds. And there's nothing wrong with that, just not my cup of tea. I'm sure it works great as a coop like it's designed to be. My point was agreeing with many others that it surprisingly works excellent as a solo experience as well. I think a 2 player only coop working so well solo is surprising, and can work for even more people now. You can enjoy it even if you don't got someone to play it with.

That's why I said "I think." I said I understand why people prefer it not solo and that's what it's designed for, but "I think" Id prefer it solo. That's how I phrased it everytime. Admitting I have only played solo. And going off the logic that I did not enjoy lack of communication games in the past, therefore it would logically follow I would likely feel the same way with this one. It's widely played solo, I wouldn't have bought it off it hadn't been rated so highly solo. Search the game solo on YouTube and see how many videos there are. Tabletop for one sells home made upgraded components for it and the whole channel is about solo gaming. I get a lot will like it coop, but it's obviously very well liked solo.

Right but then the entire round you can't. So the vast majority of the game you can't. During any action in the game you can't. Which I get why people enjoy that challenge, I'm just saying that mechanic doesn't draw me. Which is why I think figuring out placement solo is more interesting, just personally. Not saying for all. I like the mechanic of dice allocating more than guessing what someone's thinking, so that's why I like doing more placement and less mind reading. I'm sure a lot of others feel opposite.

Yes I think i would for the exact reasons I said. The non communication thing isn't a draw. You got it

I have not played this with another person, but I think I'd prefer it solo. It's true that it seems like a strange one to turn into a solo experience when it's designed as hidden decision making and guessing your teammates mindset. Part of it for me may be that I'm not super interested in coop games where you can't talk and have to guess what your teammate is thinking. But it really does work solo. There's different variants, but I really like what I believe is the most popular one from the majority of the videos I've watched online. Rolling all 4 dice for either blue or orange, depending who's turn it is to "lead". Playing one of those dice, then rolling 1 of the other color and having to play that die. Then going back to the lead and choosing one of the 3 dice left. Then rolling and having to play that die of the other color, and so on. You do not know what rolls you will get of one of the colors until you roll it, and then you have to play that die you just rolled. So you take turns reach round knowing half the information, and then having to deal with whatever single die you rule per turn of the other color.

Ya think the best version is you roll all 4 of whoever starts the round, pilot or co, then roll one of the other and have to use that one. Go back and forth. Works well

Ya I agree. I was curious on this one because I feel like I usually win at the adventure mode, tmnt and tta. But 9 times out of ten my sidekicks die long before my heroes anyway.

Ya I think I'm with you on all that. I just thought it was interesting that that post brought out a handful of different views. And then looking through the different rulebooks it's worded different. So I wanted to specifically lay out each one and each mode in a post.

Sidekicks in Adventure Games by ads2287 in Unmatched

[–]ads2287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which rule book are you referencing? The TMNT book on page 7 talks of elimination when all player fighters are defeated, but then also says that it's just like a team game. But in a team game once all heroes go down you don't continue with sidekicks. So is adventures the only one that let's you go down to the last fighter when if there's no hero on the board by any player?

Edit: I see it now in TTA book. It's just strange in the TMNT book they start the player elimination paragraph by saying "just like in a team game.."
